How to attract Elementals

How do you attract elementals? That is, if they exist. I heard you can attract Sylphs by playing music...but I can't play music.

I don't know if you can "attract" elementals, but you can invocate elementals with a creative chant created by you. And if what you said is true about "attracting" sylphs with music, you can get a radio and play smooth music. As simple as that.

I would give ceremonial magic an honest try.

Some plants attract the fae. I didn't believe it until I had a thyme plant last year and began experiencing the mischeif of small tricksters in my home. I began looking up info on them and discovered the cause was my new flourishing thyme plant. Yay for me...

So many things went missing (keys, cigarettes, my pocket knife, jewelry, etc), and then they would show up in odd places, hours to days later. I knew that they would never have been where I found them. I also found tiny shells on my floor (when I live no where near a beach). I'm guessing it was an offering because I was getting angry. When I found out about the thyme and realized I had basically invited them (unintentionally), I began putting out honey and sparkly glass beads and the mischief stopped. So if you do desire to attract them, be sure to know what makes them happy or you could regret it.

Ever since my daughter was born I've had experiences with the fae, the thyme plant just made it worse (thank goodness it was an annual variety!) I could go on and on about them. I never believed they existed before, but I can't really deny it anymore. As for other elemental beings, I have my hands full enough with the fae...so I'm not sure nor do I want to know! =P

There is one I let stay in my home because it made "friends" with my daughter, but I try to keep it to just the one. She's very well behaved and polite and has been helping my daughter to understand that spirits aren't all scary "ghosts" like on tv. But one is enough.

That's fascinating, does your daughter experience her much as an imaginary friend or is their a different dynamic?

She does experience her as a child would an imaginary friend. At first she just sensed the fae's presence and made up what was said. But as time goes by, she is learning to truly listen to hear what is said. Just the other day, my daughter told me that she could see "Missy" in her mind and described her to me. It's been a wonderful experience and my daughter is gaining more and more awareness and understanding of the spirit world due to it.

What would attract a fae to a child? How do the fae influence the world around them?

Through elemental correpondences, colors, materials etc. which You can encorporate in Your spells, rituals , offerings etc. Primroses and Cowslips attract many Elemnetals and Fae.
Sylphs can also be caled by whistle for example, or whirling a piece of hollow Oak wood on yellow twine.
