Magic if you believe in it or not in some way or form exist. There's no denying that. Different versions of the same story. But be careful because when there's magic at work dark forces will follow. Just protect yourself. Always be positive and light.

It's extremely difficult to find legitimate, original translations of biblical stories. I'm sure you can imagine...

magic has only intent, it is not good, it is not evil, it is energy. the caster is who gives the magic intent. evoking creatures [referring to your angel protection] you are calling upon just that. you can't call for an angel and get a demon. yes they can deceive you, but for a specific protection, it's highly unlikely a demon would come across it. i would also like to point out not all demons are evil as well as it's very rare to encounter one.

Lucifer is a fallen angel, he went against god's will and was cast form heaven. that being said, there is no devil in the craft, there is the fallen angel Lucifer for some, but he is not the evil lord of darkness who dresses in red and carries a hay fork. besides, if you fallow a Wiccan path, there is no pure evil being, we do have a horned god, but he's for hunting and the winter months, not for evil, he's all the masculine aspects of life. the horns are representative of a few things, none of which the devil.

overall, since i don't know your age, and i'm not sure how open minded you 'die hard christian' parents are, figure out which would work best:

A. explain to them what you believe, what magic is, and perhaps give them a book or write down some facts.

B. tell them it was a phase. while i'm not telling you to lie, or go behind their back, don't practice at least until you're older and can move out. the craft says if it's meant to be it is, so taking some time away from magic isn't a bad thing.

just think about it, think about what's best, if you think you can, calmly talk it over with your parents.

He is fooled as all christians are they call us evil when they are no better. Just remember that a god can be killed and a human can become a god so religon based around one god can be corrupted easily. Christians are proof of that

its a discipline, some try to learn about god or whatever they believe this way. Like in any group of people either music, school religion and etc there are people who push the bounds. Its not what you pratice, its what you put into it. There are sects in this, alot come form the judo-christian beliefs.

Magick is apart of nature. We all do it if you know it or not. It can't be a bad/evil when it has nothing to do with satan. If your pastor bugs you again tell him that he does magick to.

Lucifer actually is more accurately known to scholars as the "Bringer of Light". He appears in other religions and myths older than Christianity. Occasionally he even holds a position similar to Jesus of modern day Christianity. He was not made into a fallen angel or a betrayer of "God" until late Roman Orthodox.

If your pastor believes that magick is such a lie and deception that he should stop praying, stop consecrating, stop holding mass (which is ritual), stop taking communion, never perform laying of hands (healing), and take off all forms of crucifixes or other religious medals (all amulets). He should never make the sign of the cross, never light candles or incense, and should stop wearing his robes (ritual dress). Since Jesus resurrected and performed many other acts of magick, Moses used a staff to part the red sea as well as cursed the Egyptians, he should never look upto those people either because they performed acts of magick. Any prophet shouldn't be believed (because it was a demon in his eyes right?). Furthermore, he should stop celebrating Christmas and Easter because that was taken directly from Yule and Eostre which are Pagan Sabbats.

Now I don't suggest you tell him this, but I'm demonstrating the hypocrisy in his statements.
