There are countless of forms of meditation each for differing purposes. If the current method you're using isn't comfortable enough, or you're having trouble concentrating don't hesitate to explore a bit and try something a little different.
We all have preferences, and we're all different in what works best for us.
Just take deep breaths and relax. Find a cozy space where you'll be left alone. Light your favorite incense and play some calm music. Keep breathing and empty your mind of worries. I would suggest lavender incense.
Make sure you don't completely clear your mind, though. Try to focus on only one thing (attaining inner peace, for example) because clearing your mind can expose yourself to your Anima (inner self) and can send you insane.
