My friend is an avid runner but lately ive noticed her getting a adrenaline type fear reaction (dilated pupils, heavy breathing, muscle tenseness, etc) We are training for a Spartan Race next year and i fear she may not be able to participate due to this reaction before running. Is there any way i can relax her? are there any legal herbs, potions, or spells i can use before running to condition her to be calm before running?
Chamomile is very relaxing, but if taken long term will lose its effect. Valerian works wonders but will make her a tad sleepy. You could also try having her meditate right before running. The deep breathing necessary for it would be an added benefit :)
