re coven leaders

hi all, a question.. why is it that some people apply to lead a coven and are granted the position ( priest or priestess ) but then after a very short space of time decided to leave the coven ? this seems to keep happening. would it be an idea that if this happens in the future then that person is barred from applying and leading another coven for a set period of time ? it frustates me to see this keep happening and i am sure it must frustrate others on this site ? many blessing macus

It could be for various reasons. Personal issues or emergencies that require them to be away, a loss in interest in coven affairs, realizing that leading a coven is more responsibility than they originally thought, and so on. In any case, I feel that they should place someone else in their position to assist the coven and its members.

My coven had an issue like this a few months ago. One of our previous leaders was absent for quite some time and then returned once their position had been revoked. They then left yet again and, as far as I know, they haven't been back to the site since. Thankfully, the issue was resolved and all is now well.

I agree with you. Unless their is an emergency of some kind that prevents the leader(s) from logging in, there is no excuse for accepting or being granted the position and then leaving shortly after. I also feel that they should be banned from leading or applying to lead covens in the future. If they aren't there to lead their current coven and assist their members, what's to say that they will be there to do so in the future.

I believe there already is a system in effect that bars people from applying or being promoted to a leadership position.

its good that there is a system in place , but perhaps a fit and proper person test could be under taken to make sure that people are serious when they apply to lead a coven and not just a well person on the site ? if a system already exsists for this also perhaps it needs tightening up a bit ? then perhaps some of the covens wouldnt keep losing their leaders ? just an idea.

Most I of the applicants from what I've seen are serious when they apply, it's normally due to forgetting or not realizing they've been made leaders. Kids can be fickle.

I'm fairly certain an account needs to be around 3 months old.
