The most basic of healings I was ever taught seems to help for healing any creature. It wont save anyone if it is there time to go but it should ease their suffering.
Hold your hands over the injured or "sick" area on your dog. Picture a brilliant bright green light emanating from above your head, and moving down through your chakras, through your hands and into that area of the dog. While doing this visualize the pain/injury/illness dissipating. It helps if you also focus on your desire to heal them, and your love for them.
i posted a spell a while ago for protection for animals. you don't have to do it exactly since you need to use a smudge stick to make a ring of smoke around your pet, but you could pray to Hectate for protection for your pet, say the chant maybe.
To the pet owner-
Energy is the key here, I believe it so. You may meditate with your pet. Use white candles as they are a symbol of healing. Casting a circle is best because it holds energy for you.
I like cat to_ But that was just mean >_< Hmm give the dog attention, and mingle with its aurora, try to give it your life force with chakra_ Other then that I'd try maybe feeding it PSi balls, I kno that sounds silly, but it's the only advice I can think of, other then Chakra_ Also keep in mind, that if the dog wants to die, or is on the edge and it is not it is it's time, you can try a necromancy/reincarnation spelll_ Prayer, luck charms, wish spells, try all magic that has a good effect_ You want to help the dog, most magic helps you with what yo want help with, for example asking for health for you in spell, could easily be adjusted to asking health for your dog, in trade for sickness for you_ Your choice_ Also look for "remove curse" spells_ These may also help_ Do all that you can, and maybe it will be enough_ I made the mistake of not trying hard enough, an day kitty died D; don't make that mistake_
