they dont take the time to learn, what Witchcraft, wicca and mostly any other monotheism religions truly are. like someone said previously they play off fear, but putting that 'evil' image in peoples head through bible passages and lectures, the christian/catholic church is making people belive that all Witchcraft is evil. I am a baptised Catholic, and still practise witchcraft, im not a wiccan so i do not worship the God and Goddess, so i suppose im finding a loopwhole, im actually not "worshiping idols, or other gods", but now im just going on and on, so i'll stop.

I'm Christian and I'm having my own problem with this right now. I don't know how to deal with the gift I have and how to feel about my religion. I just posted about it. I can feel and have very strong abilities with to move and use energy. Spells I cast have had extreme sucess but I feel really guilty because as a Christian I was always taught that it's wrong to use this kind of power. But if you listen to Baptists they believe that the ability to heal and feel others is a gift from the Holy Spirit. I'm conflicted too...I watch the 700 club and they have the same gift I do. I can feel people's bodies and what they feel. SO I don't know...

I believe that people are generally scared of what they don't know. Most Christians don't know the truth of witchcraft. The have been filled with a general fear and overall view that witchcraft is evil.By their elders. Many religions do this, maybe as a way to keep people from finding truth.Or from questioning their own religion, its like xenophobia. We fear what we don't understand, and everything we dont understand must be marked as evil. Therefore christians will usually see witchcraft as devil praise, and other religions see christians as something just as evil.In truth we shouldn't judge other's religions, but we still do.

Not all Christains hate it, its most likely becuase Solomon was a narsasistic book burner.... Either way, you think your doing harm? Are you sorry for any harm you've cause? The Christian god, known as God, would forgive you, his son spilled his blood for you. I just gave an open minded, non-scriptural bound perspective of a Christian view, please, no s
narcasistic "im always right" slander...

I really don't like the generalizations that people make about Christians; when talking about a single person or a large group, -but not all of them- they refer to them as 'They' as if -every- one of them is like that. I'm Catholic and look at me - posting on a site that apparently I'm supposed to hate everything about. If I was the same as the Christian most people think of then I would hate gays, witches, other religions and a ton more. I couldn't be more opposite. Christianity is supposed to be a religion of love but many churches and members have tarnished the name and reputation of ours. So, I just don't appreciate coming on here and seeing 'Well, They do hate blah blah blah'.. I'd like to see more references from a Bible or real experience rather than a paraphrased YouTube comment. I agree, there are people in the Faith that believe that all of this (hate) is wrong, but then there are people who see the religion for what it is and accepts it as part of his/her life.

Lol, sorry just my little rant.

Coming from a born and raised Southern Baptist the majority of the issues coming from Christians (and it's not because they're extremists) is they don't understand witchcraft or even their own religion fully.

If you ask most pastors or preachers they will sit you down and talk to you calmly showing a peaceful manner. That is because they better understand what Christianity is about and how things actually work.

The people that told you witchcraft is a deadly sin are obviously very novice to their own religion. Witchcraft is not a deadly sin, there are 7 which include (English equivalences): pride, envy, lust, gluttony, greed, wrath, and sloth

Witchcraft is not a deadly sin, not even close.
In the Bible it was specifically forbidden by "God" to practice divination, sorcery, and idol worshiping; this in a round about sort of manner does not include every aspect of witchcraft (but that's stretching the rules). Christianity does not believe you've a one way ticket to Hell just for casting one spell or praying to Hecate for help. Christianity in depth is supposed to be a very forgiving and merciful religion offering second chances to most offenses (with the exception of murder, adultery, etc...).

I did not take the time to read all the replies to this thread but while Christians can be biased against witches, witches can be just as biased against Christians.
Not all Christians who misunderstand and refuse to accept witches are extremists or at that, bad people who use religion to justify their behavior.
These people simply do not know what or understand what they're facing, it scares them to think someone disregards what they consider the only acceptable way of life.
My family is currently scared half to death because they don't understand why I denounce "God" as my "savior".

I was a christian, but as I was also a healer the catholics say you are not a saint so you must be a witch, My last church was new age and accepted all viewpoints they even say father/mother god. My old minister accepts my wiccan religion as she has me cleanse her business of negative energy, she has a crystal pendulum, a semi precious stone rune set that I made, a witchs rune set that I also made, and a small healing wand that she purchased. She works with children who are gifted with psychic abilities as many of them are misdiagnosed as A.D.D. but shes found that they are recieving too many stimuli and this disrupts the balance. so there are a few who accept wiccan, pagans, etc.
