Raven, Im Christian. I make connections though.

Hell is another universe to which people are sent if they have sinned, but only in the extreme. Therefore, Heaven is yet another universe inhabited by the Seraphim, Cherubim, etc. and God himself. Heaven is not only a paradise, but a way to enter other universes at your leasure (as is the path to my love).

Want more details? Just ask!

But from what I know, Magick is Magick, not dark nor light. It is what you do with it.

Thank you all for your words of praise and agreement.

Magickor, I make no judgement on other people's religious choices. That is a personal choice and not mine to make for others. I personally look to nature for my answers. I feel that the Christian concept of hell and sin is too extreme and does not coincide with what nature represents therefore it is not something I agree with.

I know all too well about Christianity. I went to a Protestant, Jesuit, and Catholic school during my childhood and adolescense. And I debated every religious teacher/professor I ever met, and aced every religion class. =)

Then you would know nature is in a sense an extension of God. But, lets put that aside. I can PM you some info for you to look at later.

Don't waste your time Magickor. I don't believe in your archetype of what a god should be nor that the bible was written by anyone other than men. But men did not create nature, therefore that is all I will ever look to for truth.

"If you take the Christian bible and put it out in the wind and the rain, soon the paper on which the words are printed will disintegrate and the words will be gone. Our bible is the wind and the rain." Told to Carol McGrath by a Native American woman.

These words ring true to me. Please don't push. I'll just block you.

I agree, that's why I rarely distinguish "black" and "white" or "good" and "evil". To be honest, I don't know half the time what people really mean when they're saying "Dark Arts" (thank you for defining that!) but I usually interpret it the same way, using the shadows and dark energy as I call it, which I do use. And I think it's something often shied away from because people want to see magick and good and light because of the bad media that it's otherwise. But it's just as important to see the dark as the light and to understand it at least to some extent. You don't have to practice it, just understand it's not this undeniably evil sort of practice and you're well on your way :)

I too believe I have always been drawn to the "dark arts" but I was raised as a Christian and they put the fear of what goes around comes around. If I want to do dark arts does that mean I am giving up my soul to take revenge on others or am I taking control of what I have felt even in church. Is this the battle between Christ and the devil or is it that we found out that we to have powers that we are warned to use? I say that we have free will to take advantage of exploring the dark arts to protect ourselves and others without actually taking away their free will even though I feel sometimes that we should and the bad ones will get my wrath.
