Meditation is used in a variety of things. From finding inner peace, to r
eceiving messages, or
maybe just to calm down. Try this excersise below:
1. Sit down in a quiet place.
2. Just take a moment to feel, breathe, and *be*
3. Now start counting your breaths.
4. Each inhalation is one and exhalation is two.
5. When you get to 10 start over
6. Keep going until you can get to 10 without any thoughts interrupting.
Everyone has a third eye. And when you open it, I bet you won't see any thing that is scary, in fact, it really is not an actual eye, it is a figure of speech to represent the brow chakra, which is believed to be a place of a lot of spiritual and psychic activity.
Meditating is a lot simpler then you would think. Yet due to our busy lives and the hustle and bustle around us, some do find it to be difficult. This is actually more of a reason to learn it.
Find somewhere quiet you can sit down and relax. If you need to, you can use a bit of incense, candles or music to aide you in relaxing. Sit in a comfortable position where your arms and legs do not cross to keep them from falling asleep. Take slow deep breaths in through your nose and out your mouth. Let your thoughts flow through you, but do not focus on any of them. When you feel your mind has calmed down to the point that your not noticing thoughts, you are meditating.
I personally like to meditate to the sound of rain and a few other funky noises. If you search "meditation" on youtube you will find all sorts of guided meditation videos that may help. Love, light and blessings :)
