To be a witch, one can have any religion. Their are Jewish witches, Buddhist witches, Christian witches, Pagan witches, and even athiest witches. The list goes on and on. Witches aren't the only ones who practice magick though, every culture has their own magick and name for the practicioner.

The big debate is one chooses to be Christian Wiccan, as they are two separate religions. If you mix together religions to form your own, you are just plainly "pagan" or what is known as "eclectic".

I'm of the opinion that there is only one requirement for a religion: Someone who believes. From Dictionary.com re·li·gion [ri-lij-uhn] Show IPA noun 1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs. Do I believe in a Father figure, Great Spirit - Yes Do I believe God was incarnate as a human - Yes Do I believe that Jesus was married to Mary Magdaline and she was rightful head of first church - Yes Do I believe in Mother Earth - Yes Do I believe in spirits - Yes Do I believe their is an energy called "Magick" - Yes Do I believe in reincarnation - Yes Do I believe in good and evil - Yes This and more is the basis of what I believe, so it is the basis of my religion. So, what is it you truly believe?
