Quick casting

I've been reading quite a bit around the forums and spell directory, and something struck me as odd. Most spells take a bit of concentration, so how would you use spells in a battle? I ask this because in my readings, I saw references to magic combat.
Here is the link to an article with magic combat references:

Is the article false, or is there something that I am not grasping?

That article is fake, and you can tell it has been copied by the apostrphe's being turned into question marks. However, the idea of Battle/Combat Magick does exist, and has for many years.

You're not going to be shooting spells at someone like in Harry Potter for starters. Magick is an aid to the science of this realm and doesn't overtake it. Going from there, one would be using Magick to augment their physical abilities in a situation of combat. If a battle was purely Magickal, like the rumors of the Astral Wars, then you would start seeing fire flying.

Yeah that article is garbage. But as Eis mentioned there is a such thing as combat magic, and also as she mentioned it's not shooting fireballs. If this is something that interests you i suggest you take a look at this article.

Piece of advice, if you see something posted by Spell Casters, don't take it as true. There coven is hardly a coven, more of a bunch of people posting spells and the like erratically.

Thanks for all of your help!
I will be more careful with what I read from that particular coven from now on.

Thanks again!
