strange experience?

last night I was dreaming, all of I woke up, I could have sworn I woke up. and I remember everything was dark and gloomy,I checked the time under my pillow cause I have my phone under my pillow for the time It was 8, and It's usually sunny at that time.. Then all of a sudden something pushed me back to my pillow and and I couldn't get up i felt like tingling in my stomach. I freaked a bit out, then i thought to myself calm down. When I got calm every felt different I covered myself, with tons of strength cause their was something pushing me back. and covered my head with the blanket , then I stood up when i felt that thing not pushing me anymore, and everything was sunny in seconds. What is this?

Before grabbing hold of explainations around spirits, rule out hynogogia. (You can google it easily, especially if I've spelled it right). I do think it is wise to look at mundane explainations first, if only just to make sure they're not true :)

Hypnagogia is how it's spelled. Tricky word! (I spell checked)

It is both is used for both science and spiritualism. I was going to say a lucid dream but then Zebrah pulled out the big fancy words =P

My daughter used to get night terrors. The girl would have her eyes open and be acting out her dream, if I touched her, she would strike at me and scream (even as an infant) and could not see or hear me. She eventually grew out of it, but the point is, even if you woke up with your blankets exactly the way they were in your dream, you could have been acting this out.

Hypnagogia is also linked to OBE and a tingling in your stomach area or feeling of being held back could have been you trying to leave your body but being pulled back by your body beginning to wake up. When you calmed yourself while still in a lucid state, you forced yourself to wake up completely. Nothing spiritual per say, just a state of awareness you're not used to while sleeping.

It's possible that this was an entity sapping your energy. I call it the Darkness. It is a manifestation of evil, however cliche that sounds. It is drawn to any source of life-energy it can find, which tend to be "good" people or magic practitioners. It's easy to protect yourself from it with basic protection spells, you don't need to worry much about it after taking some precautions. I once wrote a thread about this called "The Darkness", but it's pretty old and probably hard to find.
