Classical texts
Apuleis: The Golden Ass
Euripdes: Medea
Hesiod: Theogony
Hesiod: Works and Days
Homer: The Odyssey
Homer: The Iliad

Modern texts
Burkert, Walter: Ancient Mystery Cults
Burkert, Walter: Greek Religion: Archaic and Classical
Buxton, Richard: The Complete World of Greek Mythology
Graves, Robert: The Greek Myths
Hoffman, Albert and Wasson, R. Gordon: The Road to Eleusis
Vernant, Jean-Pierre: The Universe, The Gods and Mortals: Ancient Greek Myths
Ward, A. G.: The Quest for Theseus

Though if it's the actual stories without the commentary you're interested in then you're better off looking at children's books about the Greek myths.

Haha you point to all those texts while the Bible is the one with the most evidence pointing to it.

The Bible does not talk much about other gods, although it does say that their are (You shall have NO OTHER GODS before me). You might want to use the Bible to help with Judaic mythology. It may give some hints as to Khaos.

@ GoddessNox and Greystagg: Thank you :)
@ LuxAngelici: I'm already looking through the bible. I started reading it with my family and I came across some things that sounded familiar or were similar as to what I am looking for. Thank you for your help as well. :)

khaos or chaos was the first primeval gods to emerge at the creation of the universe. She came before gaia. She gave birth to Erebos (darkness) and Nyx (night).

Khaos is the greek goddess of air she represents the misty air between the earth and the heavens. Her name literally means "the gap or the chasm".

Chaos is a Hellenic concept not a deity. Chaos represents the boundless potential of the void before creation. In my tradition Anakte and Khronos ordered Chaos by form the Cosmic Egg. Then the Egg split and some other stuff happened that is too long to put here. The bottom line is that Chaos isn't a being so much as a force.

Chaos is the beginning of nearly every mythology. You may also want to look into the Norse god Loki. In many texts he is considered "evil" but his true nature is that of chaos and Odin of order.
