It has occurred to me that the story of link seems to mimic that of the old Druids.. Zelda being the goddess(and/or man), Link the Druid, and life the game itself. (overcoming bad intent and correcting the balance of nature as he goes).. From the explanation of the "tri-force"- the spirits of life, power, and wisdom, to the ocarina ( which It's power I know to be "songspell", to relying on the inner(younger) you to set certain things right or in motion at all.. the references are literally endless.. don't even get me started on the "masks" concept.. food for thought, :D
