i know this is unrelated to magic but hear me out. my theory is that if a number divided by 0 equals 0 and a number divided by itself is 1, then wouldnt 0 divided by 0 equal 1? this is my theory

In mathematics the property theory of a numeral divided by "1" is itself (ie. 8/1=8), though a numeral divided by itself is "1" (ie. 8/8=1); however any numeral divided by "0" is still zero (ie. 8/0=0). You can not multiply or divide anything by zero, and receive an actual whole equation. Problem in doing so is that to prove the theory you must be able to reverse the function and receive the same beginning numeral by doing so, which is virtually impossible. I say virtually because in theory you can using theorems, and even then the solution is best perceived as being zero. By using the basic properties and following what I just expressed (a number divided by itself = itself) 0/0=0.

Your question is indeed magick related, and a rather popular question asked by people working with numerology which is a form of divination whereas breaking down names or elements into numerical equations to find their meanings or your "magick" number.

Not bad, lol. But the number 0 is more of a place holder than a number.. like the "o" point of a graph.. that's why its still 0.
