If you know her name or her husband's name (Mrs. (His last name))
Use her name, the address, and think about her. Write down "died from cancer" and any other description you know for sure.
Then you can perform a spell to bind her from harming anyone. Spirits are even more suseptable to magick than physical bodies, so it won't take much effort. Not everyone has the luxury of knowing a bothersome spirit's identity so successfully binding from harm isn't always possible. Even when asked, a spirit normally gives a false name for that very reason.

Thanks everyone for the help, White Rav3n, how do I do the binding spell? And you know what the weird thing is? No matter how horrible she's been, I still feel sorry for her. Will that affect my binding spell?

No tub, I can't tell you where the house is. I don't want people online being able to figure out where I am. I'm sorry, but you can see the danger in that right? Besides, you probably have plenty of spirits where you are to mess with.

Binding her to prevent her from harming anyone or herself isn't being mean to her. So your sympathy shouldn't effect it. You are, in a way, helping her. After she is bound to be incapable of harm, you can speak with her without fear and help her if you wish.

Any binding spell would do. I've bound with a string, and an iron nail wrapped with paper (that had the name and info of the person) and a chant off the top of my head. The tools don't matter. Iron has been known for ages as a metal that wards negativity/malice, especially against spirits. People used to carry iron in their pocket to ward off accidents, curses and "evil" spirits. I don't cast circles when binding, I don't feel they're necessary. A good short chant you can memorize will aid you concentration. And while you chant it over and over again, just think of her and see her not being capable of harming. You should be able to sense when the bind is set.

Thanks for the info White Rav3n, I will look up binding spells. I don't know her name, so many people have moved in and out of that place. Does it matter if I don't have the name? And is there something I can substitute for the name like, spirit of (incert the place where the spirit resides)and also, do you have any techniques to clear my mind so, that I don't accidentally bind myself. Also, I'd lover to try and help her but first I'll try to bind her. She's going to be very angry with me.

I forgot about binding so try that. try meditating to clear your mind first, It works for me. A substitute for the name could be something the spirit is attached to or means a lot to the spirit. off the top of my head I would say the house(a piece of it or something in the house the spirit would have had in life) it would make the binding stronger. first You should do some more research about the spirit if you can, the newspaper archives at a local library may help or local news archives on the internet. also do some practice runs of binding first so you get comfortable with it. After binding I would try to talk to it to see if you could help the spirit out, it may benefit you in the end.

Thanks for understanding tub, there are a lot of dangerous people over the internet and I have to be wary about giving out too much information.
