There's no such thing as werewolves. If there were and people could actually transform into werewolves it would be very painful. The most you could do in regard to shifting is a mental shapeshifting spell where you aquire the mindset of an animal but don't actually transform. I'd look up some of those, or write your own.

Its true, Beserker warriors used a similar technique in battle, wearing the skins of the animals they meant to chanel. Reports of the battles they were in noted their particular feriosity and tenacity, fighting to their very last breath and displaying inhuman strength and courage in the face of death. Its one of the areas we see lot of werewolf lore come from.

Berserkers or bear sarks meant literally bear shirt. They would ingest mushrooms and other hallucinogens before entering battle. This would prevent them from distinguishing between friend and foe as well as give them the ferocity. It wasnt really channeling.

You can not psychically change into werewolf end of story. Maybe you can change you want on the astral planes. But on psychical no.

No, it isn't like saying magick isn't real. Magick is real. Werewolves are a Twilight-y load of beaver biscuits. Pyschopsematic lycanthropy happens, wherin an individual who is in a weakened emotional state and believes in the myth gets some sort of sign- they read something, see something, hear something- that makes them sure they are doomed to change into the creature; and, in their weakened mindframe, they do. Thatis, they might be very pale, act more aggresively, if they think that's how they should, or develop a liking for extremley rare meat. But no, werewolves in the concept of full moons and silver bullets do not exist. In the astral plane, you can be anything you want-I'm talking magical winged turtles swooping over the SoM chatter- but nothing is ever going to make you be a werewolf.

Like everything werewolves, lycanthropes and creatures of the sort have their place. However, that place is in works of literature, nothing more.

I prefer to keep works of fiction where they belong, in let her bindings.
