I live in an aethist family where I would not be allowed to practice Wicca. Does anyone have any tips/ suggestions on practicing in secret without anyone knowing? I can't really get any of the stuff I need (athame, incense, etc.) because I can't drive yet and the only time I go shopping is with my parents (all my friends are super busy, plus they don't go into any stores that would sell that stuff anyway). So any advice on practicing in secret with limited materials?

Typically, you only need the ritual tools for ceremonial ritual work. While it is definitely good that you are exploring the traditional methods of Wicca, it might not hurt to explore doing the same things with energy, visualization, meditation, etc.

tools are mostly used to aid in focus, energy manipulation, and maybe visualization. they are helpful to some people, yet are not needed. however, some like a pestal and mortar for herbalist or tarot cards for divinators might be advised. though sometimes not neccesary.

to divinate, you could use clouds so decs arent always needed. and to crush herbs doesnt always need to be in a pestal and mortar, you could use a zip lock bag.

its all personal preferance really. you dont have to use them. and just meditating and visualization practice could be considered practicing to some, not to others, but some feel thats the important part of practicing.

if there's a park or forest trail near your house you can worship there. in regards to tools, excluding books, herbs and some inscents, i find my tools. inscents can be found at many stores along with candles and inscent holders. i got my atheme at a farmers market many years ago, i just cleansed it and use it, my wand was a branch off my favourite lilac tree in the back yard i bury my pets under. just cleanse and charge whatever you find. you also don't need to buy a fancy book of shadows, if you're walking in a book store and find a notebook that catches your eye, use that. yet you don't need any of it really, six candles is basically it, maybe a bell, a glass of juice/wine and a cake is enough. hope my advice helped.
