I sometimes do a maybe 1 or 2 day waterfast. It's a spiritually cleansing fast, where you eat or drink nothing but water. It's also a great way to lose weight, but doing it for that reason is very irresponsible and stupid :L
With fasting, it is better to work up to it if your body isn't used to it, as well. Cutting down on what you eat slowly up until the days where you have nothing but water and then working yourself back up to somewhat more healthy levels of consumption. This keeps your stomach (and the rest of your body) from reacting horribly to a lack of food all of a sudden as well as to the sudden addition of food to your diet.
