The times of innocence and ignorance? Before magick was such a huge part of my life things werent easy by any means. But in some ways magick has brought... Stress. My life, and that of my friends are so full of spirits, their drama, their warfare, and problems, that it sometimes becomes over bearing. I sometimes wish that I never learned the truth. Magick can be such a blessing, and yet I feel in some ways it can be a curse.
Maybe I sound fluffy and Idk... Just so many problems have spawned from magick in my life that I sometimes wish that I never began the walk down this road of enlightenment.

"Knowledge is a process of piling up facts, wisdom lies in their simplification."
In time it will get easier. The ignorance has been washed away and you're going through a time where you don't know what to do with the knowledge. Accept it as it is and don't fret about it. These things didn't just appear when you learned about them, they were there all along, you were just blind to them before. Nothing has changed. The only thing changing is your own perception. Ignorance is not bliss. What we don't know can and will hurt us. You are better for your knowledge. Now you need to work on the wisdom of it all.
Knowledge is also hard to handle when we don't know exactly what to do with it. I suggest that you read into philosophy and gain a deeper understanding on life and people. I didn't look into philosophy until I was 18 (when I entered college) and I wish I had done it sooner. It changed my whole perspective. Aristotle, Socrates, and Plato just to name a few. Magick is centered around philosophy. Philosophy is woven into the fabric of the secret/sacred sciences. Without understanding, knowledge is pointless.
I love philosophy, and to be honest, I know that with Magick I need to aid those who need it, to help where I can, and step in when I need to. Im not trying to argue at all. There is a war with spirits going on where I am, my self involved, and its just making me nostaligic I suppose.

Magick has helped my general life a lot my mother thinks I'm crazy but she don't mind what I do but magick has never been a curse for me only a blessing. Magick is like a sweet shop pick a sour sweet and you spit it right out but if you pick the right flavours everything is great :)
the blind wants to see the deaf wants to hear the criple wants to walk but a person all well and being wants to give up. it is not wrong to do so, it is not wrong to want, but it is wrong to blame for what you chose, just go with it and be happy of waht you got cause some where out there someone is in worse coundition then you are
I agree with the original post. Now, would I change anything (if I could)? No, definately not. It is a test of responsibility when one embarks on the magickal journey, you must learn to deal appropriately with the arising circumstances. Yes, at times it may seem like a curse; in that case, simply take time to remind yourself of why you decided to learn magick in the first place.
