I have read many magick books from a massive selection of authors, some say chi can be mastered on the same day some say it an never be mastered.
_It depends on what you mean by mastered
-Chi can be immediately felt but does take time to develop.....saying that I could change the shape of my chi,ki,aura whatever you want to call it within a month. I know someone else who did this but it took them a year it all comes down to how much practice you put into it and how sensitive you already are. Now I dont claim to be able to throw this ball and knock something over with it but i can feel it tingling. One of the first excercises people write in their books is usually sending energy light balls of some sort to impart blessing. And another thing we all use magick I believe the energy created is a mixture of the physical and mental energies i.e. psi and chi which therefore means we all have used chi to a certain extent. I am not a fluff and I certainly don't think others should call people this just because you dont agree with something, we are all different thats an important thing to remember.

Enchanter you must apologize to Artemisa, if you revise your words when you are calm you will see that the offender was you, she just was giving you constructive criticism, you could use it like a reference to learn more. You are are being deceived by the perception of how your energy feels... but perception is ambigous and arbitrary, your energy is strong in comparation with what? your own experience of moths before? if you had presented your statements like that it would be more reasonable. Trying to justify something that you really havent mastered is not wise, you just have shamed yourself.

Sorry for my late reply. I was in china. Ok, it's obvious that enchanter just wants to seem knowledgable. Let me just tell you something my sifu when I studied with him always tried to incorporate chi into his life. He was probably the most famouse master in all of the Anhui province. One of his favorite tricks he showed us was when he sliced apples in half with his finger. He would just put one on the table and simple dice it with his index finger. Now, this guy practiced qigong and taichi for decades. He was around fifty when I first started studying from him. He started young and he told me it took him 18years before he found out he could do that. He would show us other tricks too but he never showed us a chi ball or claimed to be able to do one. I seriously doubt the original poster is as skilled as him and can do what he claims he can do.

First of all I never claimed to be as strong as a master. Secondly you don't do me so you don't have a right to tell me I am trying to be knowledgeable. I am knowledgeable! Secondly it is not my problem you cannot free your mind. That is your problem. Keep thinking within your limits of power. While you remain the same I will get stronger. I know I sound like si-fi nut, but I am not. I think star wars is only ok. I am love being human. I have no desire to be anything else. But what I do DOES WORK. If only you free your mind. But like I said that is your problem not mine. My mind IS freed.

Actually, as someone who has been actively working with bardon's first book for the past decade, my mind is much more free than
yours. Don't get angry. It doesn't help anything. Someday, you'll see how silly you sound.

For a Taoist art that professes to free a person of reactivity and judgement, this thread had become, ironically, quite contentious. It's a shame.

Yes, but due to the number if children, it's also quite inevitable.

Chi is the energy that flows through the body and psi is the energy that flows through the mind. BUT! Energy is still energy even though it may behave differently. Psi and chi are still the same if not very similar because your brain is still an organ and still part of your body. Stance isn't supper important, it will hep your energy flow if you do the right stance but energy still always flows. It doesn't take every second of the day but it does take decades usually up until your 80's if you start around 20 or 30 or later or sooner to master your energy, well you know what I mean by "master your energy". also aside from Qi-Gong which involves more breathing and is better for beginners there's also Ni-gong which involves just using your energy and better for mastering. Usually only masters know Ni-gong and are very quiet about it. you can still find books on it and there are many more aside from those 2. Your body naturally reacts to moving energy through breathing but remember energy is the purest of all things so it doesn't have to rely on breathing but it's still how you act, how your energy moves. It's best you don't argue because 1.energy follows no rules it acts how it wants and it makes the rules but doesn't mean you make the rules because you can control it. and 2. it's not taught or learned 1 way and you can master your energy with little to a lot to none any references or teachings at all.
