You should know that you're not the only one Sullen. Lots of Christians find their "truth" in Wicca. But I see you're not sure about this yet. So, if I were you, I'd do this. Meditate on it. Which religion resonates with you the most? Wicca or Christianity? And why? State the reasons. After you've done that, take a piece of paper , and express your thoughts both on wicca and christianity. Is Wicca for you? Or not? Find some info's on Wicca. See what it's about, do you resonate with that? Read the paper you've written again and again and again... if wicca is for you , you'll know it. Someone said " can't you be both?". Yes you can. Look into Christian Wicca. Also, see what it's about. There are people here who are into Christian wicca.(Check the Christian wicca coven - groups tab). Ask them about it. There are a few concepts that are common in wicca and christianity. Last but not least, you do not have to be wiccan to practice Magick. Hope this helps.

well , if i was in ur place i would just wait ... time shows every thing to u ! All my family where Muslim ... i was Muslim too , but after years of reading books and thinking i just got a point , every where God is Same ! with different faces and different names ... also i found some thing in Muslims Book , God always says "We" like "We made The World in 8 Days" so we can have 2,3 or 100 Gods ! Religion is only a way for life , but u can find it ur self , cant u see the difference between Good and bad ? that is why i dont have a religion , if u want to be part of Wiccan religion to learn magick believe me u dont need to do it at all !

But who am i to tell u what to do !?
this is just what i believe in , nothing more !

I'd research both to see what feels right to you. If in the end, you've given as much thought on it as you possibly can and you still can't decide you can always be both. Just try and read up on as many reliable Wiccan books as you possibly can. The Teen Witch By, Silver Ravenwolf is good and Wicca A Guide For The Solitary Practitioner By, Scott Cunningham is good. I would also read Wicca A Further Guide For The Solitary Practitioner By, Scott Cunningham. I would read The Teen Witch By, Silver Ravenwolf first, because it goes into more detail and the other two books are easier to understand once you've read the first one. I really do hope this helps.

Take some time to ponder within yourself which path is right for you. Only you know what path of life you should walk. Just follow your heart and don't let others dictate the decision for you. You may find that the answers to the biggest questions in life can be found within oneself.

In my opinion we cannot say what Christianity is and what is not. Everybody perceives religion differently. You have to search deep into yourself to find the truth. Research, research research... you say it might be a selfish religion. That's your own perspective. Meditate on it. Why do you think that it's a selfish religion? Take a piece of paper, and state your reasons, what do you like about it? what do you don't like about it? Mature thinking if you know what I mean. You don't necessarily have to follow a Religion, or a tradition/traditions, or whatever. In my path for example I'm just me. I do my own thing. I follow my heart, and I bow to no religion. But that's just me. Do whatever works for you. Find a Christian who knows what their religion is about. Ask them things. Learn. Then, you act accordingly. Hope this helps.

Well, my best friend and I have both died; myself briefly, him for a good 2-3 minutes. (These were at different times, not from the same cause.) Neither of us saw anything; it was just like being asleep. So to answer your question, a lot of the people who see life after death could just be hallucinating. One hypothesis is that at death the pineal gland releases a large amount of a psychoactive chemical called DMT, but there's no evidence for this apart from one controversial study.

So near-death experiences are not necessarily evidence for Christianity. It is my personal opinion that no religion is correct. However, even so, I don't think Christianity is a selfish religion: a lot of the emphasis is on helping others, after all. Protestant variants of Christianity disagree, but in Catholicism, doing good deeds is a required part of being Christian.

But in the end, if you feel like it's not the religion for you, then don't force yourself. However, if you are interested in staying Christian while practicing magic, I've made another thread about the influence of Christianity on my sort of magic: http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_posts.html?post=334661
