Most everyone knows about the 3fold law but i just thought i would write about it. the 3fold law or often known as karma is a sort of practice where if the practitioners believe that if youdo something to someone it will be returned to you 3 times more effectively. so if you do something bad it will hurt you 3 times more and same gores for doing good things. so do good and you will get good returns, but it is also proven in some cases that when a person doesnt feel guilty for doing something wrong or doesnt think much about it, they dont get punished, the three fold law was non existent in the olden days.
But when a person does something good and still doesnt think about it, or just did it to make themself appear as a "good" or "kind hearted" person, they get good returns, i still havent figured that out completely yet but i am hoping someone will help me understand.
Actually, Karma and the 3 fold law are completely separate, though many people today use the terms interchangeably.
The three fold law is as you have described; the belief that whatever you do will come back to you times 3 in this physical life.
Karma has to do with the soul and after life. The belief there is that what you do in this life is judged and the "karma" of it is how your next life will turn out. Eg: A murder will have "bad karma" and reincarnate into a life filled with misery and/or loss.
In hindu religion it is believed that karma has to do with the actions of a person and how it affects them in their life, basically from what i have read they are the same thing told in different ways rather than being different subjects completely, maybe i am wrong. I will read more about it.
Indeed Rash. The laws of Cause and Effect are what affect the physical not the junk you collect through out life and comes back to haunt you in the next sort of speak.
I do not beleive the 3 fold law is an actual law, laws are constant, 3 fold is not. Plus I find it a little unbelievable especially since it seems like it cane from Charmed
