totally agree with your making of the wand except for the chamomile tea thing. I always put sunflower oil on it to anoint it. my twelve wands are all made in this way

I have a question: Can wands help make spells work if you aren't using things like candles? (since candles often make spells work better)

This is actually really helpful. Can my wand just be a stick that I charge with my energy? And also can I do this then decorate it?

Horsemagic, your wand can absolutely be a stick that you find and feel drawn to. It doesn't need to be anything fancy. And if you like you can certainly decorate your wand as you like, many people do just that.
