Hahahaha for people on a magic forum you seem to be pretty opposed to believing in magic of any sort, as well as doubting that people can have power hahaha.

I believe you and it sounds like you definitely have some natural power. If you want to know ways to get more powerful you should pm, me I know a meditation program you'd probably find very interesting, but I'd rather not show it to the people who seem convinced that no one can attain power hahahaha.

you know what happened also could been caused by the fact that you energy probabaly had a positive charge which attracted the lightning but lightning may be cool and beautiful its not to be played with. And the rest of you are thinking more like athiest scientist no offence but to practice magick is to be believe.

Creating lightning is outside the realm of my knowledge and experience. Does this mean it didn't happen? It is highly unlikely to me, but everything happened the first time at some point. Fallen, you make a good argument. It saddened me, however, that you felt you had to cite your school grades. You are better than that :)

I would just like to point out that everyone seemed to overlook the fact that Incantus wasn't professing to have created a thunderstorm. He specifically said, and I quote "there was a wicked storm by me. So I took this opportunity..."

His claims is that he influenced the nearby strike. Now lightening since the ancient times was seen as very magickal. The oak tree was particularly loved by magick users because it has a tendency to be struck by lightening. And the wood of the struck tree was felt to be enhanced by the lightening's charge.

The pure fact alone that he raised his hand outside during a storm could have easily made him a conductor. But besides the science of it, he was building energy outside. Not to say that magickal energy is physical energy, but the fact that a spirit can effect electrionics is a sure sign that spiritual energy and electricity are on a similar level.

I would strongly recommend, for your own safety, never ever sitting out in the open during a thunderstorm again. If you want to be outside during one, pick a place like a gazebo or the side of a house with a large awning or roof overhead., Wear rubber soled shoes and be sure to keep your feet and only your feet on the ground, no sitting!

When I lived on the 6th floor, facing Michigan Lake, I would pull open all my shades, turn off all the lights and sit on my couch to watch the lightening show. There are many ways to enjoy the experience of a beautiful storm without endangering oneself.

You may have a strong pull to storms and lightening, but you can't lose sight of the fact that they can kill you. So stay safe.

The energy that abounds during a thunderstorm is amazing. I can certainly understand the desire to go out within it and experience it through energy manipulation and meditation.

A point worth noting though is that the human body is very conductive, and in seeking to manifest a "psi ball" you are only working to increase your draw on the energies of the world around you. Lightning is very much part of said energy. It is perhaps the most raw, tangible, and powerful form one might experience within the physical world outside of nuclear explosions...and I rather hope you never experience that.

Is it possible that your will, desire, etc. were manifest in a manner that allowed you to direct a lightning strike? Possible.

My theory on such a possibility is that in directing your energy that you created within the psy ball you essentially made a very attractive lightning rod.

However, in leaving yourself as an open conduit for energy... the lightning might well see you as a lightning rod as well.

Good call on going inside.

This is the most believable thread I've encountered here on any sort of "kinesis." Well done Incantus.

If no Electrokinesis works, why did I once do it. I'm sorry If this will make you think I've went fluffy again, but I once meditated on (belive it or not) summoning a ball of lightning. After about a minute of meditating, I felt a prick of static electristity. The same feeling you get when you go down a slide at a playground, and touch a metal object.

Problem- I didn't touch anything.

It works, and even though I did it even before my fluffy days, I still hug close to it. Take that physics!

kinesis's are simply the ability of controlling something with your thoughs (telekinesis-mind moving objects, pyrokinesis-fire moving with mind, etc) its not the manipulation of the four (or five if you prefer) classical elements ussually used in magick. So yes Kinesis's do exist, though they are extremely tough to master. I myself have had very limited success with telekinesis, but I only started working on it a few days ago so thats to be expected.
And there is no such thing as conicidence ;)

incantus2 because of your post i decided to go outside during the conjuring of a thunder storm yesterday; i live near a lake and because of where it is i get more these conjuring thunder clouds more than rain... I live at the mid level of a hill. while outside i was channeling the energy and created a swirling pillar/shield around me, all of a sudden in my peripheral view to my left about 3-5 yards away I saw a flash of lighting i thought it was cool but i still was not sure what it was cause it i was from side view . so i continued, and no more than 3 seconds later right in front of my face with my eyes open I saw it. I would have thought that lighting comes from the sky cause that is how it looks from a distance but from what i saw, it looked like it just appeared out of thin air(I assume that cause it was so close and it moved so fast that it looked like that). it was thin like a strand or two of hair and it was bright it and was the color of lighting .. it was about a yard just about a arms length away from me. after that happen i decided to go back inside in a hurry. though i am not afraid of death i don't think I would enjoy the pain of living though getting hit by lighting if i was to live.

It was good of you to experiment! But bad that you endangered your life! Like I said, magickal energy and electricity are similar. Electricity strikes up from the earth, so an electrical or magickal energy source on the ground can attract lightening during a storm. If you want practice magick in a lightening storm do so under a roof of some kind, a gazebo or something. And wear rubber sole shoes. It's scientific fact that some people are natural conductors of lightening, and that this "attraction" can be passed down generations, but of course scientists are not going to test these people to discover if they are natural witches! I would love for someone to do such a test. I think their mysteries as to why this happens would be discovered!
