My thoughts exactly.

the sad part is that its a bit of a long shot that we won't lol

If that much time passes we will either:

A) Exterminate our selves (problem solved).

C) Succumb to unexpected environmental problems and catastrophes: intense tectonic activity, meteor strikes, atmosphere changes, etc.

B) Evolve. Almost nothing exists that long without changing drastically physiologically. Bugs, plants, animals, us... Nothing will be as we see it today.
