That is a very odd, albeit accurate, analogy Arabus. That input is sensible.

It's really too bad that animals can't come out and say directly that they do magick! lol

Another "Magickal Animal" is the dragon, though I don't really know if it should be considered an animal. It seems to be the most common animal that is associated with magick.

Excuse me? You need not worry of mine age! I am not an idiot! Obviously "Wiccan" is not a species! By "Wiccan", I am referring to the fact that this animal is associated with White Magick and "Wicca" as opposed to the stereotypical hex-placing, curse-throwing, and Black Magick using "Witch". And yes, it is all a joke; you know because I always just randomly go on the forums and say a bunch of stuff... NO, its not a joke! Jeeze!

Oh, and nice one Zeb! :P lol

Stay well anyway,

Since he apparently can't differentiate fact from fiction. He's probably one of those newbies seeking attention.

We must all consider the fact that Thunor is merely relaying information, and did so out of the kindness of her heart. She never said she nor anyone she knows saw a cat turn into a lion, she is only relaying what she read/saw that someone else has claimed. You cannot condemn someone for copying down information. It is within your own right to accept or disagree with the information and move on. Picking on her is childish. This is a forum so you have the right to disagree but leave it at that. No need to belittle.

The ancients believed whole heartedly their mythology. As Christians whole heartedly believe their mythology (the Bible). The things included in these stories are beyond belief, yet people believe them! Some people do not. No one should judge the other for their beliefs without first looking at their own. This could stem from a myth.

But let me go further.

We all know that animals can aid in our magick and cause great influencement to our lives. If this were not the case, we would not have familiars. Hospitals would not have dogs and cats visit patients. Petting an animal even lowers our blood pressure. When we are ill or stressed, our pets attempt to comfort us (at least mine have). Animals have a natural instinct to predict weather and natural disasters, as well as to be capable of sensing someone's personality.
So in their own way, it is concluded. Animals have a bit of magick to them, scientifically explainable or not. Nature is the source of our magick, and animals are a part of nature, as are we. If you can say an herb has magickal properties, you cannot deny that an animal lacks them.

Going on...

As for the cat becoming a lion. Perhaps the true meaning of this was lost. Anyone who believes in reincarnation would be capable of conceiving that a domestic cat can have the spirit of a wild cat. I have glanced at animals and seen their spiritual bodies as much different animals! Usually much larger. Then when doing a double take they are once again that cute little cat or dog I know and love. Scares the hell out of me to see a jaguar in the same room as me! Then I sigh relief that it was only spiritual.

My childhood cat acted like a lion! I always said he had the spirit of a lion inside of him. Did he turn into a lion? No. Do I believe he had the soul of one? Perhaps. He sure acted like he was King. =)

Also animals can have an out of body experience, just like anyone else. I've seen my pet run around a corner, then realize he/she is sleeping and could not have done so. Perhaps these people have glimpsed their animal's spirit as I have?

Do not forget, someone who has the gift of clairvoyancy can lose sight of the physical world and only see the spiritual. When you view a spirit do you see what is behind it? Almost never. The spirit is whole, just as whole as a living breathing person. So what if the witch opened her eyes and saw her cat's spiritual body after deep meditation? If the spirit was a lion, would she still see her little kitty underneath or would she just see the lion?

This is how I interpreted this post. But some people assume everything must transform physically. This is a site on magick, very little we discuss is on a physical level. One must always take into consideration misinterpretation of spiritual pheonomenon. Thunor was only relaying what she read/heard. The source is most likely misguided in what they experienced, however far back that source truly is. We have no idea how many times the information was relayed, it could have been misconstrued at any point. It is your position as the reader to determine all the possibilities.
