Oh.

Hey, I've got that Dragonology book somewhere. That was pretty cool! A friend got it for me for Christmas a few years ago....when I was 25. I hope I find it again. It just sort of vanished at some point.

Some people could post 1,000 of spells espicially if you are in "SpellCaster's". If you are a Knowledgeable person you should make your own or just allow yourself to think is this really possible?

It is not a mods job to read spells posted in a coven that job should be done by it's Priest and Priestess.

Majority of spells are copied from books on this site, even some respected members have altered spells, leaving out important parts that render the spell useless.

Research, write your own as they are more powerful, end of the day its your mind that does the magic whether the spell is out a book or written by you.

You can adapt/alter spells from books, like people have said for a long time, its your mind that makes the magic work, the words help focus it.

I'd have to agree ...on writting your own ....if you're new how would be able to tell fake spells from the real thing ...Im sure the people who the spells are of the belief that they are real and true.
I do like to browse through spells to get ideas of whats out and generally what is magick being used ...if I see something that calls to me I would use it or change =it to suit my purposes.

I have a beautifully illustrated book of fiction that is written by "merlin" about all forms of magickal practicioners around the world. Its cute so I read it to my daughter because the spells inside are fake and if she tried to play with them, nothing would happen.

Books like that are great for kids, to give them an idea of the craft without actually exposing them to things that could harm them.

But it is sad that people post such things on a serious website. I feel that we should be able to flag them for removal (not just as spam but as a ridiculous mockery of our ways). Because people who come here unassuming may believe that real witches would perform such spells. They will either see the site as a joke or naively attempt it and become discouraged.

Wizardology, while not very factual, serves to get younger kids interesting in magick. Thats actually how I first got started was reading that book, which though it proved itself to be false still helped me to take my first steps in the magick world
