Hi, I'm Valya, and i've been having theese strange dreams, visions, feelings, etc. Not the going nuts kind, but the it-should-be-familiar-but-somehow-isn't kind. Every time something comes to thinking i'm alone but i am actually not... i get this wierd memory, almost like i'm suddently remembering something i tried to forget about cuz it was so, i don't know, disturbing......this memory is more like something i feel connected to, almost like i have to do something....... and i often dream of standing on a cliff and feeling like i'm being chased by something, and suddently i'm falling down even though i didnt move at all. i also feel a strange connection to the forest: like something that i love is there, but at the same time, i get a feeling like i shouldn't go in because of something dreadful that will happen if i do............. help?
also, whenever i'm alone in a forest or whatever it feels right, but when it gets dark i feel like i just have to get out or at least have someone i know and trust with me...or else something bad will happen. i'm not afraid of the dark, i'm terribly afraid of something stalking me when i think i'm alone... I AM NOT CRAZY!

I will offer you the same advice that I offer to anyone who dwells heavily upon possible past life experience or "otherkin" attributes. It does not matter what you experienced in the past. It does not matter if you exhibit qualities that might stem from a past life or from some affinity to some fantastic creature. You are what you are in this life and that is that. Discover who you are in the here and now and do not seek to fit to the contours of your past life or some otherworldly concept. Knowing yourself, who you are , with complete honesty will be the result. And as such, you will blossom in ways physically, spiritually, and emotionally that no other form of self exploration will truly offer.
i totally agree, and i tried to do just that, but it seems to be taking over. i've been very strange lately. every once in a while something seems to take over my reason and i would have to do something all of a sudden. i already attracted attention from a bunch of people when i broke out crying in the middle of lunch. not many people saw, but the scariest part is that i simply couldn't control my feelings for a few minutes. then i felt really anxious and impatient at the same time which tired me out so much i barely got home cuz i was so tired.......
and, what do you mean by 'creature?' as in, squirrel, etc. creature, or, like, werewolf?
i don't think i can let go of those memories. it seems reasonable that i remember them for a special reason.. maybe to help someone, or something like that. also, i have a feeling i need to know this. at least can you tell me what it might mean? plz?

To be honest it can mean a wide range of things. You may be experiencing chemical inbalance that results in mood shifts and other such things that you simply can't control. This is the most common issue for such things and can be aided through psychiatric treatment and/or other such methods.
I might also suggest meditation. It is cliche, of course, but the act of calming yourself down and exploring the way you think and way tells you a lot about yourself. It also provides you with a greater degree of willpower. When you can recognize the trigger for your crying episode, or at least realize it is coming, you can also look inward and find that space of a second to help steady and balance yourself to refrain from further such episodes.
As far as the strange visions, dreams, feelings etc. Well, that can be a wide range of possibilities. It would be difficult to interpret them without knowing the details.
And insofar as "creatures" as I mentioned, I speak in terms of the bond people sometimes feel for creatures of fantasy such as werewolves and dragons and such and their corresponding symbolism within magic as well as mundane animals.

There's no reason not to go to a forest alone unless you're very small and then perhaps tempting pray to wild beasties, you've no skill at finding your way through the woods (you're experience in navigation is only relevant in a city), or any similar such matter.
A forest can be a very spooky place simply because it is uninhabited and wild. Nevermind the assorted random noises. It's rather surprising how much noise a single wild bird can make.
As far as spirits of nature, elementals, etc. are concerned... The rules are pretty much the same as if you go into the city. Don't look hostile, don't force eye contact, don't act like a victim, blah blah blah.
What does the forest bit have to do with anything, anyway?
