Casting a Circle

micah the whole point of the circle is to keep in the built up energy for a spell or ritual, or both. The more advanced you get the less you may need a circle for a spell, but if you do any ritual work, the circle is still needed to aid in containing the built up energy, and it helps you focus it as well.

The way I was taught the circle was mostly used for protection, but I do agree that's it main purpose.
