I believe that blood vampires do exist, minus how television makes them look, the italian and romainian folklore tells us about an undead being that feeds on blood to survive, we know that blood in occultism is energy so its not a far cry from reality, where did the first one come from? i can't say but what i can say is that no one is born a blood vampire its an undead being which means you have to be born human die and comeback and be trapped between worlds.

In my country there is a legend about a soucouyaunt which in reality is a vampric kind of being which i have seen with my own eyes hence i don't doubt the existence of vampires just they don't come on the Internet looking for attention lol

psi vamps are simply lazy people to what kts said and i agree, its a stupid practice cause their is energy all around us their is no need to drain another person for sustenance, they can become ill also due to being drained. And who knows how much negative energy you have absorbed from someone.

For all of you who don't believe they exist to you i say, i understand roleplay messes things up but look at us, many say spells don't exist while we practice it while they speak, how is a undead being etc so different from this? i never doubt anything but take it with a grain of salt.

Lol, kts and the person above me, I agree with the whole "A vampire wouldn't tell people they are one" thing except that they might. Think about it, There are plenty of things that people do that 50 or 100 years ago they would never have admitted to( ex. being gay, worshiping satan..you choose) but in todays society its not such a shock to hear about these things. With the amount of media on vampires today is it such a far stretch that a vampire would reconcile with what he/her is, if in fact they feel guilty about it, and accept it for enevitable and unchangeable and come to terms with it? Going through a similar process as "Coming out" and telling someone? Like a BFF or something. For all we know anyone could be a vampire and we could still sit there and tell them they are crazy because up until recently the general society saw vampires as either a myth or something to be feared and condemnd. I don't think its so unfathomable that a vampire would admit to being one, I think its unfathomable that someone would actually belive them. After all, some parents don't want to believe their kids are gay. Why should people want to believe thier friends are blood drinkers or "monsters"? I'm not saying all claims are true...but you know the whole Diamond in the rough thing.

I dissagree i know quite a few vampires. none combust in the sunlight, maby a little eye sensitivity but then again many humans have that too, and it is not the fact that it is daytime that they get tired, it is the heat. and two of the ones i know wear glasses. though their other sences (smell and hearing are higher than normal)
I do agree that it sucks tho.
