Prayers
By: / Novice
First of all, I want to thank LdyGry for posting some realy powerful prayers on her site http://ldygry.livejournal.com/tag/prayers
This inspired me to open a new thread where we could share some good prayers that we've came across or even written ourselves. :)

I personally like to spend time praying, it gives me strength, balance and peace so after that peace of tranquility I feel rebirth. I'm not native English speaker, so I need some time to correctly translate prayers that I do regularly, but until then, here's one I’ve found here:
http://www.helpguide.org/life/spirituality_prayers.htm

A morning prayer
There are so many things I take for granted. May I not ignore them today.

Just for today, help me, God, to remember that my life is a gift, that my health is a blessing, that this new day is filled with awesome potential, that I have the capacity to bring something wholly new and unique and good into this world.

Just for today, help me, God, to remember to be kind and patient to the people who love me, and to those who work with me too. Teach me to see all the beauty that I so often ignore, and to listen to the silent longing of my own soul.

Just for today, help me, God, to remember You.

Let this be a good day, God, full of joy and love. Amen.

I'd like the others to continue posting prayers or your experiences with them...

blessed be...

I wrote this prayer here a while back when my grandmother died...I actually read it at her funeral through eyes filled with tears...This prayer can be applied to many ideas and feelings...Praise,Adoration,Wonder,Love...however, the biggest idea to me when I read it at the funeral was the thing that makes us different from everything else...and that thing is a special spark that we have inside of us, that not even the angels n heaven have...

Untitled Prayer

When Heaven made,
And sky divided,
With power mighty,
He incited.
On all things,
He placed His touch,
Mother and Father,
To very much.
Be it green,
Or walk in wild,
Does not matter,
Still His Child.
In everything living,
He gave a soul,
But unto man,
He gave His glow.
