Myrdin is on the right path. If you are able to put your altar there it might be a good idea to do so. Frankincence is a energy booster and spiritual lifter. If added to other incence blends and herbs it boosts their energies and effects. Also when doing workings and burning incence it's great to have a window opened for fresh air. When I burn my incence in the winter and have my windows open I never notice how cold it is until my workings are over. It is so warm when I do circle work. Good job on a good working! This is the true magickal stuff that happens in the craft when practiced in a true way. It's not huge and spectacular, but still is noticeable and leaves you in a child like awe like wow that was interesting. Thanks for sharing this and Myrdin I always love hearing your replys. With its position I'll struggle to put my altar there, but its worth me trying, thanks for the info.
I did use 2 types of incense, the frankincense first and because I'm not a fan of the smell, I used a love incense, thats when I started to feel the hot spot.
Have had quite a few experiences in this house, some of the family seeing what they described as a black mass in the front room, and when I was younger I would see like green & red forms moving in a counter clockwise direction in one of the bedrooms.
Other posible expanations om 'what it migth be.
A form of gate. Like in a pasingpoint for energys or other things from another "plane/sphere"
or maybe a form of veil/void energys.
No Mather what. It's there and could be usefull to you.
It also can be a place where "leftover" or a responding reacktion on posetiv work or use of energys that youself has performed.
I mostly don't wonder to much about the what it is. (of cors the how, so I can do similar things tho) I'm more of how I can use and nurish the positiv energys I come acros.
(also some cases negativ energys, sins I can change them in to the use of positiv or to positiv)

Over the past few days I've been noticing a lot of strange things happening, not only in my house, I've been taking time to study & learn the techniques (from this helpful site) before jumping into spells, even been opening my chakras, maybe it could be that.
As you grow in knowlege and experiens. That be by spells or energys and so on.
Your abilitys will grow to. And adjust. Sometimes (speking for my self) some of the things you could do or feel. Seems to disipere.
That might be the adjusting part.
Then again. Some days you can be less tuned in.
For one or another reason.
But if you work much with energys. You can be in for a treth.
Spesialy if you get turned in to "soulenergy"
for some it might be related to some parts of "posesion"
if your able to acktivate it in yourself.
You can end up waving your arms without focusing the control yourself. (inner energys that controls the mowment)
and you just waving and lafing.
Also other very usefull uses of that.
Like aurahealing.
Or somthing caled soul meting.
Where two persons. Hold theyr hands up to echothers.
And lett the energys betwen you act.
And so on.
It's one of my favorite use of energys.
Sins I'm also understands how I can use and "kontrol" my own energys. So I can help others to find balance and so on.
I would try moving the desk to test one of the theories presented by Myrdin.
By moving the desk to where it is completely out of the way of that spot you can test:
* If energy is moving through that point; where as a good site to build your own- shall I say... ''energy fountain'', easily used for grounding and recharging before/after spell work.
* If the desk has something to do with it. In which case a more practical explanation such as a slightly more dense in material part of the desk retaining more heat and as the weather stays cold that place will eventually cool.
* If there is simply an energy spot possibly left behind by something/someone. These are usually quickly used up and dissipate quickly sense they are merely spots where energy was released and had not yet quite finished off. These spots are often times left behind by fairly powerful energy transfers, leakage, or releases. In which case I'd do what I can to figure out the type of energy or rather the intent of which that energy was released and see if it can't be of any use.
Regarding what Myrdin said, he's quite right about the possibilities; I'd check it out and investigate. :D
Actually I've sort of worked it out, well I think I have.
I did a spell from this site about 6 weeks ago, it was to have someone think of me non-stop, I used a candle for the spell, the left over pieces of melted candle were under the desk near that spot.
I had totally forgot all about that until now, just found the candle bits.
