well guess i learned something new, i have never saw in my life black being used to remove hexes, i guess i can see it your way since black means peace and oneness with god and if you have peace then a hex should be in the middle now should it :)

Poppets (dolls, dollies, etc) are used to heal, harm, bring good dreams, bring money, take money away, etc. They are a tool of magic just like anything else.

The term "Voodoo Doll" was actually coined by an English traveler who misunderstood that a) Voodoo is a religion and not a magical practice and b) the doll was not called that. I think it was written about in the 1800s, but I can't recall right now.

If black were to be used for assisting curses/hexes, then wouldn't when the candle was extinguished, the curse would not be working anymore. Just a thought to ponder.

imwizard: No, the curse is brought on by the candle being lit. It continues until the worker takes it off.

I think that what You might have is acctualy a curse You've created by beliving few unfortunate coincidences were a curse. I mean in worst case.
Therefore either stop thinking like that, or take somme nettle infusion and smolder Yourself with Wood Bettony ( very efiicent in annulment of curses our belif creates , among other uses ).
Burning black canldles in not a bad idea , If You would inscribe and infuse them with the negativity as that would represent a form of banishment of Your own bad thoughts so would gove great resolts too in this case. And as someone wisely sadith black candles are uses for doing or repelling evil in Conjure and unhexing or dissease apsorbing in Wicca and Europeam folk witchery.
