Oh yes, true indeed, why would we want this fresh meat to leave anyways? I say why not have target practice? lol

@ Florrie, which I don't get. SoM is a great site, but once people are gone (banned or gagged), why do they feel the need to come back here?
Some craft! *scoffs*
If they were so true to their own magick and craft, they might try to sort things out, or leave peacefully, rather than sneak back on with different names and accounts.
*huff puff*

Why must we hate, A Coven is for guidence and Help, why must you be so...strange? Humans want peace yet they fight over stupid things like this, does it make sense? No It's stupid to me.
I learned from people there and NO ONE CLAIMED IT WAS THERE INFOMATION.
The credit wasn't put on there, who cares?! It's not against the rules as I have seen and it doesn't matter, it was helping people.
You're all just making a big deal over something so small when you ave NO reason to be. Just because some lamers complains about it the coven was erased? It's stupidity. People were being helped and learning, no one claimed it to be their information. So instead of leaving it be and having fun and learning, you took it away, now people will be lost and have problems and it will be on your hands. Instead of leaving matters alone, some people on here are useless or think they're better than people. Why must you discriminate against people?!
This is complete nonsense. -_-'

I don't like other Coven's because people are too serious these days. Why must people act like the world is against them, why not let sleeping dogs lay?
It's just blah.

To Vampirella: Yep, and the coven was not a real coven towards the end, when anyone tried to make it such, they were shut down, it took a major hit because of nephilim among other idiots who lost sight of its purpose. It was only to be expected that something was going to happen, just a matter of time.

To Vini: It is a little thing called plagiarism, as in stealing anothers work and calling it your own and/or not giving the original artist credit for it. Forget it being illegal, it is just plain wrong, if people are too stupid not to come up with their own work then direct the person to the original artist, not steal the work just to make yourself look good.

As Sidonus said, Vini, what the Priest did was illegal and as a matter of fact it is against the rules because it goes against SoM's ToU(Terms of Use). The ToU is the list of rules. If no rules were broken no actions would have been taken against the coven.

As for people making a big deal... I don't see that here. People are posting their opinions peacefully. As of yet no arguments have taken place nor, with the exception of a few upset people who used to be members of the coven, have I seen many complaints. As has been said; just move on.

I'll copy and paste from the ToU so you can see what part he didn't follow:

"3. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use spellsofmagic.com content in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial use. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any content except for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use of spellsofmagic.com content requires the prior written permission of the site owner."

And more specifically:

"Further to paragraph 10, by submitting your contribution to spellsofmagic.com, you:

1. warrant that your contribution is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to spellsofmagic.com for all the purposes specified above;
2. is not defamatory;
3. does not infringe any law
2. indemnify the owner against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by the owner as a result of your breach of the above warranty;
3. waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on spellsofmagic.com and the purposes specified above."

Just by posting it, unless he clarifies that he got it from someplace else, he claimed it. Also, in one thread he did say that the thread was made by himself and the Priestess yet when put into a search engine there were at least ten potential sources.

Darkness Rising was removed for good reasons.

For anyone who wants to review the Terms of Use for Spells of Magic, the link can be found in the bottom right corner. Here's a link to use as well.
