Most of the people who replied to my post agree and understand the real issue, magick is being used irresponsibly. It matters not who's values are "better" than who's but we all should have a basic agreement on values eg killing an innocent man is wrong. Now anyone who says it is right then u are indeed sick. you say that karma will repay them, which is true but we must protect those in need of assistance. For they are under the influence of something far greater then they can control.

I still disagree to an extent.
Everything bad or good is still opinion based.
I do bindings to keep abusive ones away from their victims (AKA Physically abusive 'lovers', parents, ect.)
I'll do the art of putting curses on objects that would be stolen by those who wish to steal it.

I know not to kill, or to do extreme damage. But to say that it is irresponsible, its still your opinion.
Everyone has a right to believe in universal laws, and we also have a right Not to.
If we all believed in one opinion, we'd be nothing more then robots with flesh and bone.
I doubt all curses of extremely bad will can be stopped, but there has been a decrease, people Are learning.
More people nowadays cast spells for 'good' intent.
But, those who wish to practice curses and bindings need to have to be able to take care of themselves. Defend themselves when someone challenges them. It seems that whenever I say I practice 'dark arts' people always jump on my case. I guess that those who wish to practice it will need to remain mature in a situation as such, rather then screaming "I will curse you!!"

How does ''Most of the people'' agreeing to you have any value?
That's like saying ''People like Obama, obviously its the right thing to do cause its POPULAR'', not that I have anything against President Obama.
''Now anyone who says it is right then u are indeed sick. you say that karma will repay them, which is true but we must protect those in need of assistance.'' -
No one said it was right, no one said it was wrong. You shouldn't be concerned with others if you can't even take care of yourself. We can protect and harm whoever we like (consequences, of course exist). It is not your choice to decide anyone else's actions, for I do not care about your morals. All you can do is teach others about the value of life instead of imploring them not to do it, because no one sees any reason to stop. Your reason, ''Giving magic a bad name'' is very weak, for those who do not care about reputation, will not even turn to you. If you wanted to know why magic has such a bad name, go blame J.K.Rowling.
"wrong is wrong and right is right, there are morals and values which we must follow so the statement i see many times ''there is no right and wrong'' is just an excuse to pacify wrong actions." - Serpentfire.
Its not an excuse to pacify wrong actions if wrong and right are undefined. What is your definition of wrong, and right?
"forgetting the true path of a witch." - Must all magic practitioners be called witches? Not everyone can be called a witch you know.

I agree with Reborn, good and bad are opinion-based. Karma and DoNotInterferenceWithFreewill are the only restrictions you have on your actions.
''If we all believed in one opinion, we'd be nothing more then robots with flesh and bone.'' - Reborn
This is what we call freethinking, and freedom. People learn from unpleasant experiences, as we grow, we see more perspectives on one situation.

You have a very good point serious, but you are either to stubborn or ignorant to see the point we're making on the other side of the debate. We are not perecuting them, we are trying to stand up for the innocent people who get hurt by them for no good reason. I don't want to hear that its THEIR choice whether or not to hurt someone, because we all know it is their choice. It is also OUR choice to protect them. If they must use curses and the like for any given reason, then do it on someone who can handle it like a fellow practitioner with their consent, or face a few people standing up for the innocents jumping in your face. We are not trying to change the irresponsible onces, but protect the ones they hurt.

Personally, anyone who says that standing up for the innocents in an impeachment of free will on those that hurt them, then that is hypocritical. Just as it is their right and choice to do what they will, so do we have the same right and will to stop them if it is what we deem worth doing. If you disagree, so be it. But that is the same thing you were saying about them, jsut turned back around. :)

It is our choice to protect and to be nice. It is also our choice of teaching others. "By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest." - Confucius quote.

I actually put half of every paycheck into charities thank you. I also roam around the area I live, looking for the ones that attack the weak with magick, and I show them what it feels like. Its nothing extravegent, but to me it is worth the effort tenfold over when I see a family doing better because of something I helped with. Also, I do odd jobs for free around the Tampa area. If you need a porch built, roof shingled, etc. As long as you have the materials, I can get it done.

Why not show them how to prepare against witches, rather then just 'saving them'?
Your making it seem asthough they were helpless kittens.
They aren't, teach them and they can take care of themselves.

I am talking about those who will not accept the practice as a reality and refuse to believe. They still need to have a defense, do they not? Or should we just look upon them as inferior beings and let them suffer?

A majority of people believe after having these experiences, after being a paranormal investigator before this, I know it first hand.
Inferior? I'm talking about teaching them to fight back against it themselves. How is that letting them suffer?

I agree wtih teaching them fully Reborn. (I am sorry for my outburst, I was not feeling up to par yesterday) But what of those to stuck in their ways to have the will to learn? Or, as I believe is more paramount to draw my hand in such matters, if it is possible to save them from the damage done all together, should we not stive to do that? I am in no way saying anyone who believes otherwise whould change their view, but simply stating that those of us who believe this way should, instead of complaining about it, stand up and take action to stop it before it happens as we can. (Such as with the Knights of the Moon)
