Just wondering can oak or hazel wood wands be used for all types of spells. Are they an all round magickal uses type of wood? Because i want a wand i can use for everything. I don't want to have like 3 different wands for different purposes.

Well, all woods can be used for all spells, its just that some woods are better at some spells than others. So you can have just one wand if you wish, but you might find it lacking in a certain area based on the wood, but don't worry too much about it, I believe oak and hazel are both very balanced woods. Good luck on the wand building :)

Yes, all woods have magickal properties. Lilac wands are good for magick dealing with romance, love, and passion. Superb when utilizing magicks for the realm of intellect, communication, mental concentration. Lilac provides protection during travel. When dealing with illusion magick, this wood is very adequate, as with the divining arts. It is also associated with Gemini and the element of Air.

Lilac is also a Faery tree. So if you work with the Fae, or would like to, this is a great wood to utilize for your wand. Don't forget to ask the tree permission first, though, and leave an offering when you take the piece you wish to use for your wand.

Dare I ask what you believe is best for Necrotic purposes, as in Necromancy and Death magic?

Actually, im not anexpert, but i heard once that dead wood houses negative and destructive energies. Stands good chance to reason that it also would be suited for necromancy. don't really know if there is a particular kind of wood though.
