Pan's People

Whenever I go out into a forest, or a place with a lot of trees, I start to act...weird. I don't know what gets into me. I start breathing funny, all I want to do is run around and hide behind trees and spy on people, I get an uncontrolable urge to laugh nonstop, sometimes I even feel kind of violent. The weirdest part is that on every full moon, I feel like I have to go to a place with a lot of trees and build a huge fire and dance around it naked (please don't laugh because I'm being serious about this) while chanting under the moonlight. I told my friend this and she said I was one of "Pan's People." What does this mean??

Pan is referred as the Horned God. And he takes the appearance of probably a half man, half deer. He's the God of nature and animals, just like our Goddess. But it sounds like your a wild innocent child who's looking for some excitement. I like those kind of kinds, they remind me a bit of Wrath from FMA.

Since i`m not pagan i don`t know all that much about Pan or any other paganish god. I think hes some kind of innocent, childlike forest being who likes to do all those things you desire on the full moon. BUT guess where the idea for Peter Pan came from? Thats right, Pan himself. So whenever i hear about Pan, i think of Peter Pan :)

I don't think any of you understand. Sometimes, even just going by a forest makes me feel like I have to go in it otherwise I'll go crazy or die. It's an unnatural feeling that I don't think you people understand because you've never felt it. It feels more than just being a innocent wild child...it's hard to explain.

I think maybe you're getting a little hostile and all this "you people" and "no one understands me" business is not only well unnecessary, but a radical response.
Maybe there is something special about you. Or maybe you're just dying to think you're supernatural in some way.
Just accept yourself for who you are, and not who you think you'd like to believe you are just because of something a friend said.

I don't think you people understand

You'd be surprised at what this can tell a psychology student, firstly this is definitely hostility, secondly its an instant disregard of anything that has been said and thirdly it shows you have already chosen to segregate yourself from anyone who disagree's with your initial conclusion, I suggest back tracking a short way and taking their advice to heart, you might not agree with it but simply say, I'm not sure that's it, that way you may have a chance of their continued aid to help discover the true cause but from what I have gathered no one else here does know about Pan's people and I certainly have not heard of them meaning that in all likely hood (This is not a certain disqualification) they either do not exist, no one has discovered them or you are not one, however if by Pan's people your friend meant a satyr then perhaps you should follow greymagi's advice
