I've seen this question in chat, and heard it in person a thousand times. Seems appropriate to start a thread.

In the realm of magick, witchcraft especially, what books do you recommend for study? Personally, I prefer anything that isn't fluffy bunny hollywood crap...but....what's your recommendation?

Carl McColman "The Well Read Witch" covers a variety of well reviewed books from beginning to advanced for witches. That's my starting point, especially for newbies.

Cool, I definately agree with you that ppl who are serious about magic shouldnt read ne thing that has been Hollywoodized about it...too many ppl get what they believe from movies and other things...I am actually curious if someone can point me to a good author when it comes to different ideas of consciousness and dreams, preferably based on psychology or philosophy.
