Whitefang is correct. The ability to read minds can be used as a powerful defense weapon. This ability will allow you to read your enemies startegy and to change your strategy if they divert from their original plans. You may also be able to pick up on how comfortable they are with your plans, this may give you an in to see their weaknesses.
I do agree, but it could also become a weapon to be used against you. If they are simple minded and dull, yes, foreseeing there attack will be easy. If they are trained there are two ways. The first is called muscle memory. When adrenaline kicks in, your muscles do the thinking. When this happens, your gift is useless. The second is called being a good fighter. Your opponent will be thinking so far ahead that you will be unable to keep up with his train of thoughts.
