I picked a fallen branch from a tree on my way to college and wrapped fruit rinds around it and let them dry.
I was wondering is it would be correct to varnish it to secure the rinds or if it would be a bad idea because varnish isn't "natural"? I have heard one should only use materials that exist in nature to make a wand.
I don't have much experience in this matter, but personally, I think it doesn't matter. My wand is painted, and it works just fine. Personal preference though. Do you feel like it will block your energy?
There are lots of ways to make a wand it matters on how you want it to be not on what other people want them to be so there is no right or wrong way of making a wand just follow your instincts you don't need to follow a list in how to make one!
Wand is cool,I done made one and bought one
I prefer my blade or Pointer finger these days but I had my days of wand use.No They to not spit Magick like a pottor wand, for the person making wise comments about them but they have their use

Aebo - A wand is a tool. Ever used scissors to cut paper? Or a pencil to write. You use these tools to achieve something just like a witch uses a wand. I saw a pencil in harry potter too but does that make it fiction? Please show some respect.
Your Wand, do as you wilt. If your feel that two Tigers Eye stones will enhance your wand do it. The is a lot of power in tigers eye. Good luck with it.
I read a piece that the best time to harvest your wood for a wand is on Wednesday on the waning Moon. Something to ponder.
Also, leave the bark on at the handle end, as it has more connectivity. It also has more grip. I advise cutting your patterns in the bark when the stick is green as it will peel easier. Leaving some Bark rings on the wand looks nice.
