I did liked this story but not the ending so much... Harry potter had this monster in one of their movies...

It happened that a poor crippled man called Ally Murray who lived on the charity of the miller had an encounter with a Brollachan. One dark night, as he lay beside the fire, a Brollachan who lived in the millstream entered, drawn by the warmth of the fire. It was the child of a Fuath. The Brollachan had eyes and a mouth but could only say two words, 'Mi-phrein' and 'Tu-phrein', or 'myself' and 'thyself'. It cast itself fown by the fire just as Ally was throwing on another log as it had begun to burn low. Sparks flew out and burnt the Brollachan who cried out. The Fuath from the millstream rushed in shrieking, 'who's burnt my Brollachan?' It replied to its mother, 'Me and thee.' Giving Ally a hard stare, the Fuath grumbled, 'Well if it had been anyone else, I'd be revenged on them.' Ally slipped away with a sack over his head and lay down in the machinery of the mill, hoping he would survive until the morning. He was fortunate because the Fuath had disgustedly gone to seek her revenge elsewhere, chasing a poor woman who had been out that night.

Brollachan: This shapeless, unformed monster is fearsome creature living in the Western Highlands of Scotland. Its very shapelessness strikes terror into the heart, and the Brollachan assume whatever shape you mopst fear in your imagination.

Fuath: A tribe of spectrals monsters from the folk traditions of the Scottish Highlands. Talking a variety of forms, the Fuath or Fuathann live close to lochs, rivers and the open sea, indicating that they are essentially water monsters. A Fuath is the mother of the Brollachan, a malevolent creature given to attacking children.

Magick was misused in this story... Don't try to do the same thing...

Once upon a time a novice monk fell in love with a serving girl in his local tea house. For some time he courted her, then remembering his vows left her and returned to his monastery. So angry was the girl that she set out to learn magick, and when she had done so took upon her the form of the dragon. She then went to the monastery where her former suitor was now a monk, but when he saw her he hid beneath a great bronze bell. Kiyo belched forth a great spurt of flame that melted the bell, killing the cowardly monk.

Lesson to be learned... never use magick to get back at someone.

Ikaki is a supernatural tortoise who lives behind the ancient village Olomo, rarely allowing himself to be seen. He made forays to the edge of the forest to dance, but whenever he did so, people came to watch him. He always sang a warning song to them 'Remember my words. Don't anyone touch me. I am Chief Tortoise, Chief Grey Hair.' But the people enjoyed his dances so much that they kept calling him back. Eventually, he danced and sang, 'Amegage. Human meat, yum-yum. Amegage. Human bones, yum-yum.' Then, as he raised his right legs, all the people in the east died; as he raised his left legs, all the people in the west died. Ikaki went back into his shelter of the deep forest never to be seen again. However, the few survivors left on Earth came together in order to imitate the great tortoise's dancing. They were uneasy about the part where they must lift their legs, though, and so they consulted the oracle of Chuku that told them to modify their movements to avoid further deaths.

A Zulu man called Sipo told how his brother Vamba suddenly became ill, walking like an old man or, as people say there, 'walking zombie'. Shortly afterwards he died, but when they went to bury him, Vamba's body did not go through the normal process of rigor mortis but was entirely soft. Suspicious of magick, Sipo was uneasy. The next morning, the grave was open and the body had vanished. Now everyone knew it was sorcery that had caused Vamba's death. Sipo searched the townships and villages all around, asking if there was a powerful sorcerer in the district. Eventually, in hushed tones, one particular man was pointed out to him, an influential man with a large farm. He waited at the gate until dusk, the time when ordinary people stop work and return home, when he saw 'an army of silent labourers come shuffling to the fields'. They even worked silently, without singing the usual work-songs by which labour is leavened throughout Africa. Sipo recognized his brother as he searched each face. He looked grey and depressed, nor could he talk for his tongue had been slit. Sipo carried his featherlight brother home where, shortly after, he died for a second time, this time exhibiting all the usual signs of deathly decay.

There was a village on a hilltop of Scotland. Everyone was equal but one person. That one person was their leader. It was a peaceful village until it was under attack by raiders. The villages leader had to call forth a few people to be guards. Since the guards came out the raiders went away and raided other places. But since those guards were equal people like everyone else but not anymore they thought that they could do some things their own way. Like taking away a few homes and making a few rules. The leader found out and got bad and told the guards that their job was to keep safe of the village, once again the guards did what they were told. But months later the leader came down with a sickness that no one can heal. The guards thought it will be nice if they did more things their own way so the leader won't have to move. After they did, the village was more like a jail cell. No one may enter or leave, because they thought more harm will come by. No one may can say anything bad to each other but the guards did it anyways. And if any stole anything then they will be hanged. The leader soon got better but now was to old to be the leader, so he had to pick on of the guards. Of course none of the guards have told the leader what has changed of his village. He leader did not pick any of the guards but picked his own son, a few of the guards got so mad that they planned out to kill the old leader and his son. So they went out to search for the Glaistig. After they found it they told what it's task was, but the Glaistig had other plans. It turned into a goat so it can be giving to the new leader as a gift. Once the son asked why it was color green, and they said it was a rare goat of it's kind and it is an honor if you have it. The son tried to touch it but the Glaistig turned back and cut everyone throats.

Sorry if it was long and all, I made this one up so enjoy.

It had now been 31 years since the Last Hope had left the destruction of the planet Arzel with it's documented 107,000 occupants that ranged from celebrities, mayors, government officials and the numerous different governments of the planet, scientist, military personal and just rich and powerful people. However over the past few years disarray had engulfed the ship. The sense of hopelessness had came over many of the ships' citizens as communication with the other 19 ships that had left Arzel the same time as them had been lost and whereabouts of other human occupied planets in the galaxy was minimal. Crime which was basically non existent for most of the ship's travels had now gone up nearly 90%. Gangs were forming, robberies were rampant and now the ship's security force was ordered to amp up security ten fold. A heavily guarded prison was created and people were arrested and prosecuted for even the most minor offences. High Quality Video and Sound systems were located in nearly every single area of the ship.

"Sir, from the intel we've gathered the people are starting to believe that we are trying to enforce complete control over them and take away all their liberties. There is rumor of some sort of organized uprising." Spoke a man in a security uniform.

A man who looked to be around age 35 and very battle hardened then spoke.

"We are forcing complete control over them are we not? These people are beginning to become hopeless as they should private. Arzel was only 1 of 6 human colonized planets in this galaxy and with the destruction of Arzel we have little to no information on the location of the other colonies. It's a shame that humans have been able to colonize well over 1,000 planets in 3 different galaxies yet human nature of dog eat dog still exist. This is not the Milky Way or the Andromeda Galaxies where we have a very large presence. This is a galaxy were we have no presence and because of our conflicts with the other colonies before Arzel's destruction we have no way to get into contact with other members of our species. If we loose control of this ship then we loose control of everything. If the people think they could survive without us then we have already truly lost everything."

The private then spoke, "So what is it you'll have me do Sergeant?"

The Sergeant then let out a sigh then spoke candidly.

"As 1st Sergeant at Arms of Security of Lost Hope, my job is to enforce all security protocols over the inhabitants of this ship. It's time for us to make them see why they need us once again. Pass the orders down to enforce Order 31 of the Severe Security Protocol.
