familiar`s potion help?
By:
hello. my name is wildcat. im new to this forum. normally i dont ask for help with my magic cuz i have a good grip on it but i need help deciphering what my familiar did a little while ago.

i am making a cleansing potion to help one of my friends out getting rid of evil entities that have been making him suffer. its a potion i made myself that has worked for 11 years now so its kinda a personal recipie. since my daughter-in-law recently told me she wanted me to apprentice her in magic i had her with me helping me put in ingredients (figured id passin along in the family). My black kitten damion usually doesnt get involved with my potions (only normal rituals) but this time he decided to get up on the table, then lick the water meow at me and let me go about making it.
im sure its not IMPORTANT but i would like some feedback as to what it ment or what anyone thinks
(and b4 you ask, no he wasnt out of water lol)

Well, thats what familiars tend to do. They help you in your magick and you help them. Perhaps your cat was voicing his opinion on the potion.

I think they would normally look for the waterbowl in that situation..

Well, maybe the cat's waterbowl was empty and the cat came for a drink the easiest way the cat could find it.

Maybe you were a bit unsure about the potion because you were now getting help with it. Your cat then came and drink to potion to show you that it is all right. I don't think it was a bad sign, because then your cat wouldn't have come and drink it, he would have rather do something else like tip over the bowl or something like that.

Well I'm new to magic but scene familiars are supposed to help with your magical rituals and stuff and your in law was helping you for the first time, I wonder if your cat felt that she was taking his place. He might have thought that he isn't helping much and you got a replacement. Id suggest taking him on walks or spending more quality time with him just to make him feel more loved.

Ps: don't think I'm trying to say that you don't love him. I'm saying that sometimes animals perceive things the wrong way and try to express themselves by doing odd things to get your attention. Also, I like the last part about the water. It made me laugh a bit! Haha! lol
