Thank you! necromancy is just communicating with dead and spirits, and absolutely we cannot raise the dead, and also we dont hang out in graveyards, we stay away from them!

Lilbit, out of curiousity, where is this "light" you send spirits into by commanding them? And how do they just walk right out of this light whenever they feel like it?

From my understanding the whole "going into the light" originated when people would die and be resussitated. Many say they see a light or tunnel, which could very well be biological or just the transition of the soul leaving the body. Similar experiences can be seen in trances and visions. So people connected this with their religion claiming it was heaven. But if they are Christian, and they feel spirits are in purgatory walking around earth, than no one but divinity could ascend them to heaven. And even if you had the ability to, you definitely couldn't send a spirit causing harm or mischief into a heavenly place. And light doesn't exactly describe hell. So what exactly are you achieving by commanding them into light?

I don't quite understand all of these claims to "send spirits into the light". What is this light!? What does this light do? Where does this light come from? Or is it just a phrase people like to say that makes them feel like they've done something.

I can just picture these spirits must look around so confused. Go into a light? Am I a moth? What light?! Lol!

It's just as bad as demanding that a restless spirit find peace. I'd like to witness you walk into a mental institution and tell the residence there to find peace. I'm sure it won't be pretty. Better yet, go to a jail and tell the criminals to be good, if "light" is somehow commanding spirits to behave themselves.

How do you truly know when a spirit lies? No doubt, everyone has the ability to lie. But I wonder if you assume the spirit is lying only when it tells you something against your own personal truths. Because for someone who has communicated with spirits for so very long, your post is very informatively empty. You state your "facts" with no explainations.

I do hope you reply and can combat me with an intelligent argument. Let's keep this civil please. I merely want a friendly debate on spirit communication and interaction.

actually yes it is shadow magic because the shadows represent the dead and they put their magic into objects.

its shadow magic because when your magic is powered by the dead around you your magic is shadows but they are also born with it and some are taught the magic.

Necromancy is one of the most misunderstood paths in the occult. It goes well beyond working with the dead. It stems to every path as well next to Shamanism its one of the oldest paths in the world. Necro at it's very core is very much path working and doing a ton of astral work. It requires a lot of research and not for everyone. There's absolutely nothing dark about this path other than the understanding of it. Working with entities is just a part of it. Its definitely deeper than divination as most necromancers are after the whys and hows of the universe. No they do not bring back the dead and follow all universal laws like any other practitioners. Meaning they do not defy nature. However I would suggest staying clear of Lovecraft' s necronomicon and "Simon" versions of what necromancy is. Both books are works of fiction and a little far fetched to be rather blunt. So I would start with working guides and going from there and remember in astral work to research everything then you see. :)

First of all, why whould necromancers be interested in graveyards, they hold no death energy as none lingers on corpses. Necromancers are generally more interested in places tha hold deathenergy, usually where someone or something has died. Second of all, why would a necromancer need to hold their power in an object? Is that even possible? I do believe you are thinking of skulduggery pleasant. From what i have learned and experienced, death energy isnt unstable at all, just dangerous in the sense that repeated working with the energies of death itself has its painful side-effects. Third, why is death magic asociated with shadows (once again, skulduggery pleasant), i suppose that it can be whatever colour you want it to be whilst visualising but theres no need to tell everyone that it HAS to be black. Lastly, necromancers dont work in 'death' per se but what is usually known as the netherworld, where souls gather after release from their bodies. To call necromancy unnatural is to call death itself unnatural but what would life be without death? It just shows how short sited some self-proclaimed 'white magicians' can be.
