Sorry if I made you feel that way, Barbarious, but even with Trolls and Role Players; it's not their fault the teachers left. Even if it isn't you specifically, there are people who would put all the blame on these people (many of which ARE newbs) and any of the teachers who left that have said something along those lines I have a low opinion of.

I replied to what you said, as with any other discussion I get into; if you want me to stop you have to stop to. Don't give me something to reply to and how can I reply? (hint hint)

This is suppose to be about helping the newbs out not agrueing over why someone left the site. That make no sense why it was even brought into this thread. We are here to help in anyway we can is how I feel about it. For those tha come here and truely want to learn we just do the best we can in helping them or finding someone who can. It's not that hard to be nice to new people. Think how you would feel if this was your first time here and you asked a question and got made fun of. That will turn away a possible great wiccan/magician. So let's just treat everyone the way you would like to be treated. Simple enough I would say.

The interesting part of posting this thread, is the fact that a friend said something that got me thinking. And the funny part is that the conversation leading up to this thread and afterwards had absolutely nothing to do with you Barbarious. I addressed you regarding the chatter already. Everything has its place on this site, and a tiff in the chatter does not need to find its way into a forum. Especially on one that directly and indirectly represents this site. And one more thing that amuses me even greater is how many in the chatter actually believe that they have gotten under my skin. I have practiced my craft and even taught it for more years than alot of you have even been alive. And over that time period I have gained alot of patience and an understanding to realize when someone is holding a valid debate or just spouting off steam. I have always been blunt and spoke my direct opinion in the chatter. And I will continue to do so, I say what's on my mind and drop the issue. I personally don't take it to heart, you can chose to heed it or leave it. Not my concern, if you don't let tiffs die, then you carry emotional baggage on for days. I don't have time for it, so I lose it as soon as the matter is resolved. Though I am honestly flattered that you would assume that I would actually put enough time and care into furthering a dead discussion with you Barbarious...=)

So Evil_gunthix, what about point 1 2 3 4 6 7 8 9 10, if they don't relate? If only point 5 relates?

Anyway, back to the topic.. The trolls and the punks can get on a teacher's nerves a bit if they manage to fake their genuineness to learn, then just turn their back as if the teacher's words and advice are from some street advertiser. The trolls do.. very slightly make teachers leave, but they only contribute a very minimal amount...

Dragonheart.. I don't care how long you've practiced magic.

"tiff in the chatter does not need to find its way into a forum."

Then what are you doing? Lol? You're directing that comment at me because after what happened in chatter. Seriously, just drop it. I've honestly had enough of this crap for a whole week.

" Think back to when you just started learning about magick and think about those who did help you. Imagine if those people didn't exist, you wouldn't be where you are today."

I thought about that a while back. If those people did not exist, I believe I will be still in the same position. Most of them attacked me. Few of them actually taught me the essentials just because I was and still am a noisy person. Besides that, uh, I like to make fun of people, specially of me. Also, few people asked me for help, and received it. Most of these people are not in the site no more. It is quite strange, ahahaha.. anyways, but yeah *_* no one refers to me. I guess I am not knowledgeable though.. I am the KNOWITALL.

"just posted those to get a point across. and speaking of trolls...dont u think u are kinda being one right now? no body else said anything about what i put in here. why do you have to?" - Absolutely nothing to relate to the TOPIC, no contribution, all you want to do is start a little fight, your points were harsh and its attitude was "rack off, no one cares" type attitude. Speaking of which..
"1. treat others the way you want to be treated. ", So I'm guessing.. you want a mirrored "rack off, no one cares" attitude shown towards you? And one more thing, I don't care what someone else says. According to your point 10, I am expressing my opinion, I am not forcing it on anyone.

ANYWAY..
Vari, that's cause you were here before the teachers were.. you learnt by experience.. No one refers to you cause when we think of Vari.. Images of a female cookie monster appear!
“By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third, by experience, which is the most bitter.” - Confucius
Vari, I don't know if your experience was bitter or not..
I do all three.. =]
But we are trying to help the newcomers learn by the second method, imitation, back to my scenario of experienced (practitioners of magic) being the resident of a country and the newcomer the clueless tourist..
A tourist doesn't expect to learn by carrying logs (third method, experience) or some sort of huge experience.. Set an example and don't let the blind convert people with potential into being blind as well.
So why not help as much people as we can, while we can? And hope they will do the same to the later and future waves of newcomers that join this site?
