It sounds like she's flirting with you. Adding the mystery of a magic spell is a good way to add to her allure. I can almost guarantee you this is the case. The spell is worthless and will do nothing with the instructions she provided.
Any seasoned magical practitioner will tell you that there are minimum requirements for a magic spell to have "meaning." You either (1) have to rely on the inherent spiritual properties of natural items or (2) the conscious manipulation of personal or mental energy. If a spell does not have either of these two elements, it's no more than spoken word or meaningless actvity.
In the spell you described - lighting six candles and saying "Six" aloud six times - there is nothing inherently magical about it. Yes, people light candles in spellwork, but they will always prepare those candles in special ways beforehand, or they will manipulate the candles in some symbolic way. Yes, people chant during spellwork or repeat a phrase a set number of times, but this is always backed with great feeling and visualization, sometimes prayer, and spoken commands.
What you have described lacks all the elements necessary to have an effective spell. There are no natural ingredients such as plants, minerals, spiritual supplies, and the like to lend the spell such power. There are also no instructions as to how you should project your energy, what you should hold in mind, and the signifigance of the word "six."
Just for comparison: she could have told you to take a photograph of her and set it in the center of your table. Then she could have instructed you to prepare six candles in her name using Love Come to Me Oil mixed with your personal fluids. Then she could have told you to surround her candles around her picture and then chant her name with great feeling as the candles burned down, visualizing and focusing on a romantic connection forming between the two of you.
Still, this is a weak spell, something i pulled out of the air in a minute, but it shows the comparison between a "real" spell that might have a fighting chance at "working" versus the silly thing she gave you.
Good job for having the courage to ask. Magic is frequently (and unnecessarily) veiled with secrecy. Good luck.
