In my case I eat meat understanding that its the circle of life, the food chain. If you respect and honor that which you are eating everything will be ok. About animal sacrifice, in the ancient times people did sacrifice animals to Gods, and Goddesses. I have eaten meat and offered it to certain Gods but never killing them myself, their are already cooked.

I've been a vegetarian for 6 years. In my personal opinion, eating meat is like eating a brother. I just can't accept that. Please no hate on this as this is my personal opinion.

I am a wiccan and vegan and i think it's so wrong to kill animals for food, when we could live without it so much better.Animals only live to be killed and all they see is pain.Eating meat actually makes people angry because animals die in so big stress. I know that people have done that all the time, but that still doesn't mean it's right.Well I've been vegan only a year know, but it's because i just didn't know, i didn't think about it and i didn't care but I'm so clad i do know.I will never go back on eating meat, and I'm not asking you to be vegan or vegetarian too, but at least you should know how we could be better off that great pain and suffering

I, too, have been a vegan for about 3 yrs. now, and it has nothing to do with religion or sacrifice. I chose to become one after seeing the horrors of the meat industry, what the animals, (cows, pigs, and yes even chickens)have to suffer just so someone can sit down and eat a big steak, roast, pork chop or a Perdue chicken.

My choices are my own, as are yours. I have not been healthier, I've lost 45lbs. have more energy, and have the satisfaction of knowing that I saved at least one animal from a slaughterhouse.

And I would never go back to eating meat (pig, chicken) again either.

ok ok, enough with this circle of life bs, meat is not essential or needed in the human diet, it is actually much healthier to cut meat out of your diet due to heart disease, and the whole nonsense about cattle population, if you know any real thing about the meat industry you'll know that they like to artifially insemenate cattle, pigs, and fowl. So if every stopped eating meat and the meat industry was shut down we would have less cows. Can people please do some real research on the topic and stop talking out of their "you know what"? Now on to the wiccan subject of this thread, if you truly want to be better to mother earth, you would go vegetarian because the meat industry has only been killing the planet. Give me hate mail I dont care, this is the truth deal with it. DO RESEARCH

i heard about this from a wiccan on youtube [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khaHdO15YfA] myself, health reasons, i mostly eat fish and chicken, too much red meat or pork makes me sick. anyway, i agree with quanyin81, we are suppose to live in balance with nature, we need a middle path, this includes food. human's are omnivorous, if you are eating meat in moderation, then i see nothing wrong with it. [must i quote the lion king?]

Neither Wiccans nor Satanists involve in any sort of blood sacrifice. You've been indoctrinated wrongly.
