It has come to my attention that there are quite a few members of the council that is new to magick. Is it not the role of council members to place useful spells in the spell book. If one knows little of magick how can they complete the role given to them. I am pleading that only people with an intermediate level of magick be addmited into the council, spells like 'Turn into a meermaid" is not the kind off nonscence should be addimted as a spell.
Sorry, Serpent, but I think it would be a bit hard to root out the inexperienced members from EVERY council unless(until) we also stop inexperienced PRIESTS from making covens. You may have noticed, if you've looked at the covens, that quite a few are made by inexperienced members and choose friends over knowledgeable/experienced candidates for council members. That, or they're just so inexperienced they don't realize their council members are inexperienced as well.
From the way you wrote that message I'm just making the guess that you think their is something like an over-all site council? I haven't seen nor heard of one unless you mean the Mods, but then that is something to take up with Pet, the Admin. Regular members don't have power over the Mods, the Mods have power over the regular members. And that is for the very reason you mentioned, inexperienced members should not be in positions of authority.
If I'm wrong about my guess then I already made my reply to your post above this little message and this little message can be ignored. :)
well put ragnorok. You also must keep in mind serpent that this is a site for beginners to magic and a lot of them have little to no experience with the exception of those who have been with the craft for years, ex: myself, tankgrrl, and white_rose, and several others, like my priest Brim (who is still learning but is doing a beautiful job helping me with the coven). Besides, don't be so quick to judge, just because a person is inexperienced (practice wise) doesn't mean they aren't knowledgable on subjects.
