believe that love spells
are unethical because they can affect 'free-will
free-will in itself is not an absolute idea when it
comes to morals and ethics. There is nothing within Wicca
to say it is wrong as Wicca has no dogma or 'sins', it is
down to the individual to judge if it is 'right' or 'wrong'
to cast a love spell, whether it is general or specific. Some
Wicca teach the rede and law of return as a guide, normally
to new initiates until which time they can better understand the consequences of their actions, they are not to restrict their behaviour. Generally people are against the idea of love spells because they believe it interferes a person's free-will; however no one has true free-will, we are all affected by other people and our environment, but ultimately a person. Spell casting is not a covert form of mind-control, it is down to the ability of a witch to affect the world around them to their will to affect the world in the things we do,different means. Now take for example if I am attracted to someone; I will dress nicely, I will smile to put the idea into their heads that I am attracted to them. If that person notices me as a result of what I do, if this person is then attracted to me, I have affected their will and go the the cops well i tried that there is not a thing no one can legal do not until something bad happens butt by then it mite be to late The answer is that of course a spell is a form of manipulation.BUT I would ask you this. When did anybody ever fall in love without some kind of manipulation? Let me explain this further. The process of attracting someone is simple. It's the same processwhether you're a person, a dog, a cat, or a wild animal. It's as old as life itself. When we want to attract someone, we try to make ourselves stand out.We need to get the attention of the person we want to attract.Think of a peacock, with its magnificent brightly colored feathers fanned out behind it. He's saying "Look at me, I'm beautiful. I'm strong and powerful, I will be a good father to your babies!".
