Fyi. I understand what your asking, but the question cant be answered with a Serious, intelligient answer, because your thinking of magick in the wrong way, your perceptions have been skewed by hollywood. its not your fault of course.

we are bombarded with it, almost every movie with magick in it shows HUGE differences in how "white and black" witches cast, usually "black" witches require sacrifices, or they will show mangled bodies of some sort....and then the "white" witch is all herbs and acts like mother teresa (sp). this is just simply not the case.

I'm sorry we didnt answer your question to your satisfaction, but we DID answer it correctly and honestly.

Gadamlu, Luzifer is right and it looks like you understand now.
My answer would have been similar while also explaining that if you want to know the advantages and disadvantages of being good or evil; that depends on where you go. If your around people who like being mean and cruel or evil in any sense of the word, being evil will likely get you some respect and perhaps a measure of power. Likewise if your around nice, kind, and caring people then you'd best be a good guy because being evil won't get you very far. It all depends on where you are, but magic in and of itself is not good or evil. It all depends on how you use it just like how guns don't kill it's the person holding the gun that decides that, you have to decide how you are going to use the ability or tool that you have and regardless of what you decide the ability or tool can not be blamed for the outcome.

the "color" of magick is just a way of stateing the intent of the spell.
